What it is
A short Fireship tutorial from April 2018 that gives an early look at Angular Elements. It builds an Angular component, packages it as a custom element, and shows it embedded into a non-Angular web page as a single concatenated JavaScript file.

Does this mean that, we can generate a web component and then use it in a totally different App which is not Angular, not React and not Vue? In other words: Can I then generate a native web Component with Angular Elements and use it in a project build with/on HTML5, native JavaScript/jQuery, CSS etc. To answer the first question, yes (see caveat below), this is the exact purpose of elements. I found this practical guide [LINK] the explains how to make a simple component made-with-love which is a standard component you would right in Angular. A big caveat from the article [LINK] conclusion : Angular Elements of v6 are aimed at using inside Angular applications. Angular Elements of v7 will be

please watch this video: [this video] watch the end where he exports his angular element as a concatenated javascript file and adds it to an external website. I'm trying to include two of those files on the same page.

@MichaelSolati that's not going to work for me. the idea is to have multiple parties working on their own projects and exporting modules as angular elements that we can add to non-angular websites. please watch this youtube video and you can see what we're doing. [this video] .. the last few mins in particular.

Hello there. If i am understanding correctly, you want to generate a Web Component (lets say <my-component></my-component ) and then with a simple script tag to get the .js file to initialize that component and add it on any html page you want to. In my GitHub repository [LINK] i have created a simple Todo List Component. That component follows the Angular Elements Principles and also, i have installed some file managment libraries for webpack to also pack the JS into one JS file. You can check this repository out and see if that helps you out. Just clone it and then run npm install followed by npm run build:elements Feel free to contact me if anything goes south. Have you heard of Angular Elements? It was introduced in Angular 6. The scenario that you're referring to sounds like a perfect use case for Angular Elements. Angular elements are Angular components packaged as custom elements, a web standard for defining new HTML elements in a framework-agnostic way. So just think of them as self-contained widgets, that will play quite nicely with any of your web apps built on any framework/library. Have a look at this enlightening NGCONF Talk by Rob Wormald on Angular Elements [LINK] . You can find several tutorials on creating an Angular Element. Here's another one by Jeff Delaney from AngularFirebase [this video] . Angular's Official Website also has a very n

I'm trying to host independent angular elements that I can drop into a non-angular webpage. It's working great when I have just one.. but when I load two or more on the same page I get this error: Uncaught Error: Zone already loaded. I'm using a build script to concatenate my dist files into one js file.. and then dropping that into my project const fs = require('fs-extra') const concat = require('concat') const files = [ './dist/elementsApp/runtime.js', './dist/elementsApp/polyfills.js', './dist/elementsApp/scripts.js', './dist/elementsApp/main.js', ] fs.ensureDir('elements') .then(() => { console.log('success!') concat(files, 'elements/include-me-somewhere-else.js') }) .catch(err => { cons

I'm am using the latest version of Angular (11) to try and create an Angular Element that I will package up and use in a static webpage outside of an Angular app. However, while I'm developing the component, I would like to be able to use ng serve or something similar to be able to load up my component in the browser and test out the features. What is the best way to accomplish this? This is my current AppModule: @NgModule({ declarations: [ ImageSwitcherComponent ], imports: [ BrowserModule, ], entryComponents: [ ImageSwitcherComponent // shouldn't need anymore ], }) export class AppModule { constructor(private injector: Injector) { const el = createCustomElement(ImageSwitcherComponent, { in
