I recently had to create a QR code scanner app at work and I used Zxing library (zebra crossing) . It is very easy to use and you can set the QR code scanner in a couple of minutes. I helped myself with this youtube video: [this video] I hope this helps you!

Coming from this question, here [LINK] I am currently developing an application that needs to scan QR Codes via the Device's built-in camera, using the following libraries: implementation 'com.google.zxing:core:3.3.3' implementation 'com.journeyapps:zxing-android-embedded:3.5.0' The logic I am using to scan the QR Code is as follows, which has been taken from this tutorial [this video] : IntentIntegrator integrator = new IntentIntegrator(QR_Activity.this); integrator.setDesiredBarcodeFormats(IntentIntegrator.QR_CODE_TYPES); integrator.setPrompt("Scan"); integrator.setCameraId(0); integrator.setBeepEnabled(false); integrator.setBarcodeImageEnabled(false); integrator.initiateScan(); This code is be

I made a QR reader APP for my school project, the app works very well but it has a little mistake. When I scan a QR code the app just shows me the text. However, when I created a QR code linked to " [LINK] " (a simple link), my app just shows me " [LINK] " and doesn't open it in the browser. I use this video to make my app : [this video] He is a nice guy He said : "use intent to open it in a browser" But as I said in previous posts : "in my school my teacher prefer to teach Visual Basic instead Java or C++" ... So I'm a 0 in Java or C++ Can anyone suggest what to do?

Here's my code that I use in MainActivity : private Button scan_btn; @Override protected void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.activity_main); scan_btn = (Button) findViewById(R.id.scan_btn); final Activity activity = this; scan_btn.setOnClickListener(new View.OnClickListener() { @Override public void onClick(View view) { IntentIntegrator Integrator = new IntentIntegrator(activity); Integrator.setDesiredBarcodeFormats(IntentInte

Android newbie here. I recently started to build a barcode scanner apps and I stumbled on this video [this video] . However, I have problem following the video when the IntentIntegrator class came out. My code seems unable to import the class even though I already implement ZXing in the build.gradle(Module:app). Here is my code for build.gradle(Module.app): apply plugin: 'com.android.application' android { compileSdkVersion 28 defaultConfig { applicationId "com.example.scanner4" minSdkVersion 21 targetSdkVersion 28 versionCode 1 versionName "1.0" testInstrumentationRunner "android.support.test.runner.AndroidJUnitRunner" } buildTypes { release { minifyEnabled false proguardFiles getDefaultProguard
