I'm trying to connect to the Google Sheets API using this tutorial: [this video] When I try to run the code in Visual Studio Code I get an error saying that the cred.json file does not exist. However, when I run the same code in cmd, the code executes as it should and shows my data from my online datasheet. I have already tried launching VSC in admin mode and adding "python.terminal.executeInFileDir": true in the .vscode settings file. Nothing seems to work. This is the code that is being executed. import gspread from oauth2client.service_account import ServiceAccountCredentials def sheets(): scope = [" [LINK] ",' [LINK] '," [LINK] "," [LINK] "] creds = ServiceAccountCredentials.from_json_keyfile

Instead of creating an excel sheet, try uploading directly to google sheets using gspread. If you have an excel sheet you want to go through, try reading the cell in excel then writing that cell in google sheets (Not my links, but should be a good reference to get started) [LINK] [LINK] [this video]

Hi I am high school senior and I want to do a small program for a school project. I need to get information from a google sheet into my code. I followed this guide [this video] to try to do this. I followed every step and put in all my info properly, but I keep getting this error. I followed the video from TechWithTim step by step ( [this video] ) but I am still getting an error when I try to open the sheet. The code works fine until sheet = client.open("GuildTaxes").sheet1 line. Here is my code. import gspread from oauth2client.service_account import ServiceAccountCredentials scope = [" [LINK] "," [LINK] ", " [LINK] "," [LINK] "] creds = ServiceAccountCredentials.from_json_keyfile_name("GuildTaxes-9ba4508be840.json", scope) client = gspread.authorize(creds) sheet = client.open("GuildTaxes").sheet1 data = sheet.get_all_records() print(data)

I have been following Tim's tutorial about Google Sheets API ( [this video] ) and when I got to the sheet.insert_row(insertRow, 9) line it showed me an error, all the other things are working just fine. Important to say that Tim didn't have the same problem. code : import gspread from oauth2client.service_account import ServiceAccountCredentials from pprint import pprint scope = [" [LINK] ",' [LINK] '," [LINK] "," [LINK] "] creds = ServiceAccountCredentials.from_json_keyfile_name("Raz.json", scope) client = gspread.authorize(creds) sheet = client.open("RandomRaz").sheet1 row = sheet.row_values(3) col = sheet.col_values(2) cell = sheet.cell(1,2).value insertRow = ["Test#123", "Url!"] sheet.insert_

I've been following this ( [this video] ) tutorial on using the google sheets API in python recently but have been met with the following error: C:\Users\jadot\PycharmProjects\multiplicationTable\venv\Scripts\python.exe C:/Users/jadot/PycharmProjects/multiplicationTable/main.py Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Users\jadot\PycharmProjects\multiplicationTable\venv\lib\site-packages\google\oauth2\_client.py", line 196, in jwt_grant access_token = response_data["access_token"] KeyError: 'access_token' The above exception was the direct cause of the following exception: Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Users\jadot\PycharmProjects\multiplicationTable\main.py", line 10, in <module>

I am trying to make a program that can add user inputs into a google sheet so I can document it. I have had smooth sailing up until now. I am following This [this video] tutorial. Now when I run my code it outputs the error: FileNotFoundError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'creds.json' Here is the code I am running import gspread from oauth2client.service_account import ServiceAccountCredentials scope = [" [LINK] ",' [LINK] '," [LINK] "," [LINK] "] creds = ServiceAccountCredentials.from_json_keyfile_name("creds.json", scope) client = gspread.authorize(creds) The file it titled "creds.json" and I currently have it sitting on my desktop (Could this be the issue?) Thank-you for your help!
