What it is
A 25-minute tutorial by Nick Chapsas, part of his Blazor series, showing how to add authentication to a server-side Blazor app. He uses built-in ASP.NET Core Identity with Entity Framework Core and SQLite, and notes it does not apply to client-side Blazor WebAssembly.

I was having a lot of issues with Blazor authentication aswell, but this tutorial [this video] really helped me out. I believe he implements the same authentication as you're trying to use (Microsoft Identity).

Unfortunately, the presenter as well as most of the tutorials are using EF Core to store user data to a db and use this DB for login management. I don't want a database, but I would like to have my own routine to check, of the provided username/password are valid. In particular, I want to make a call to our Active Directory with User/Pass and if the credentials are valid, I log the user in. I could not find where exactly the EF Core write / read from database happens in the scaffolded v
