Just installed a fresh rails installation. Followed the steps in this tutorial [this video] . At 14:04, the index page should appear. Got this error when running my index page: ExecJS::ProgramError in Posts#index Showing C:/Sites/Simpleblog/app/views/layouts/application.html.erb where line #7 raised: TypeError: Object doesn't support this property or method Extracted source (around line #7): <%= csrf_meta_tags %> <%= stylesheet_link_tag 'application', media: 'all', 'data-turbolinks-track': 'reload' %> <%= javascript_include_tag 'application', 'data-turbolinks-track': 'reload' %> </head> Rails.root: C:/Sites/Simpleblog Line 7 is: <%= stylesheet_link_tag 'application', media: 'all', 'data-turbolink

I am currently working on this project: [this video] When I try to enable bootstrap, around the 31 minute mark, I insert the latest version from the bootstrap cdn site. My code looks like this: <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>Simpleblog</title> <%= csrf_meta_tags %> <%= csp_meta_tag %> <%= stylesheet_link_tag [LINK] bootstrap/2.1.0/css/bootstrap-combined.min.css %> <%= stylesheet_link_tag 'application', media: 'all', 'data- turbolinks-track': 'reload' %> <%= javascript_include_tag 'application', 'data-turbolinks-track': 'reload' %> </head> <body> <%= yield %> </body> </html> However, when I go to localhost:3000, I receive a nasty error message that is displayed here: click here to see error

You should read more about the documentation [LINK] . This is a pretty basic question, and you'll probably have the answer if you actually take the time to read and learn. That said, the info you provided is lacking so I'll just assume. First, I assume you have a Category model. It should be placed in app/models/category.rb : def Category ... end Next, you're not actually querying anything from the database. You can do it this way: ## app/controllers/welcome_controller.rb class WelcomeController < ApplicationController def index end def apply @category = Category.new @categories = Category.pluck(:name, :id) end end Category.new generates a new instance of the Category ( category.rb ) object.
