This should be possibile. Have a look into the BLE GATT protocol, there are charachteristics (parameters) which you can read/write by other devices. You will need one device in peripheral mode and one in central mode. This should be a good start [this video]

Check that issue maybe it helps: Get Tx Power of BLE Beacon in Android [LINK] also you could check out some devBytes from Google about BLE [this video] If you are using specific BLE beacons you need to referenced the datasheet and check how tx power is measured. As you already mentioned there is different definitions for it. During my dev I found that most suitable is that : txPower is measured in some distance from transmitter with way without obstacles. So if there is a wall for example txpower will be lower. Consider that.

Short Answer Your bracelet is running a GATT server which advertises bluetooth packets, and you're phone is not. There aren't any PhoneGap plugins that allow your phone to run a GATT server. You'll need to create your own PhoneGap plugin. Long Answer If you want to exchange bluetooth data between two phones, both phones need to support bluetooth low energy, so that the second phone can run a GATT server. In bluetooth low energy, the phone that's scanning is known as the central device, and the phone that's advertising is known as the peripheral device. As of today (Nov 15, 2015), only the newest phones and operating systems support the ability for a phone to act as a peripheral device (i.e.

I am trying to write some custom data to a BLE device with a custom service on it. I have followed this tutorial: [this video] which is from android. I can see my custom service with data on it. Also via another application (NRF connect) I can write data to this custom service. Therefore, I know its possible to write data to the service. The issue I have is other examples of how to write data to the custom service use BluetoothGatt whereas, this code seems to use BluetoothLeService instead. This is an issue as the documentation does not seem to have a read API for the BluetoothLeService. So I can not use something like mBluetoothGatt.readCharacteristic(mReadCharacteristic); How can I go about cre
