Your question has a pretty broad and step intensive answer, but I'm writing this to help point you in the right direction, instead of even trying to give you some sort of magic wand to accomplish what you are asking. I believe that your answer is to do the keying first, and then get a solid color as your background. You might have to spend a lot of time here as this is an art, and may even require rotoscoping/masking at times, and edge cleanup of your focal subject. If at all possible, you will do most of this work in your footage lighting to reduce the amount of keying problems you would have after the footage is taken. The answer depends a little of what you want to do, but your workflow will usually be to generate video sequences in blender and the export them to the video format you need to edit them in hitfilm. You dont need to support 3D model in HitFilm since blender can export video sequences. For an animation movie, you just render your sequence and use it as such in hitfilm. How I would do it Your best bet for scaling, rotating, moving, and animating all that stuff would be through the VSE. 1. In the compsitor remove the green background to make adding the background easier later on using the keying node. 2. Open blenders VSE and add in your newly rendered transparent video through SHIFT+A > movie 3.With your clip selected add a transform strip via SHIFT+A > Effect Strips.. > transform. Once there you can change the size rotation and location all from the properties panel on the timeline. Your probably going to want to keyframe the movement of the tank so using the timeline put the timeline where wish and using the transformation strip you can change how the tan
