Riding the Booster with enhanced sound
Why Hacker News recommends it
HN recommends it for its raw, mostly natural audio and for conveying the speeds and violence of a shuttle launch and booster descent.
What it is
Footage from a camera on a Space Shuttle solid rocket booster from liftoff through descent, with audio enhanced by Skywalker Sound from the original camera microphones. The sound is real, not foley.

There's deceleration involved as well. Here's a very nice video of the shuttle boosters on their way down to give you an idea of the velocities involved. [this video] An enormous amount of inertia to overcome so 30% doesn't sound so unlikely.
