Why Electrical Engineering Stack Exchange recommends it

Electronics Stack Exchange users link it as the source of specific beginner transistor circuits (the oscillator, the delay circuit and the SR latch) they have built or are trying to understand.

What it is

A beginner-friendly tutorial from HackMakeMod on using NPN transistors as switches. It builds a simple light or temperature-sensitive alarm, an oscillating circuit, and an SR latch on a breadboard, with schematics and a parts kit linked.

@GrahamNye: I got the circuit from [this video] and I've built it and it does oscillate. The bit of the video on oscillating circuits starts at around 9:50.

@Graham Nye: I got the circuit from here: [this video] and I've built it and it does indeed oscillate. The oscillating bit of the video occurs around 9:50. - J R

Just wondering if there is an explanation to how this " delay circuit [this video] " works. [LINK] (Above screenshot from YouTube video " Fun with Transistors [this video] " at timestamp 716s (11m 56s) by HackMeMod [LINK] ) I tried to make it at Falstad [LINK] . The "delay part" is circled. [LINK]

I am absolute Beginner in Electrical Engineering. I tried creating an SR Latch with two transistors (no ICs, Logic Gates, ...) on Tinkercad: [LINK] From a Youtube video I used this schematic: [this video] When I start the simulation, the switches let light up their counterpart LEDs, but they do not latch. Assuming Tinkercad works fine, what have I done wrong?
