This AJAX Tutorial [this video] by Pippin Williamson [LINK] on WP Back end AJAX helped me a lot on how AJAX works in WP. He shows how to show top 5 posts via AJAX in the WP Backend by clicking a button. I'm sure you can manipulate the code and make it help you in your case. The difference is just that you need to load the scripts on the front end by using wp_enqueue_script [LINK] instead of admin_enqueue_scripts [LINK] Hope this helps ..

Thanks to this seven-year-old tutorial [this video] from Pippin Williamson, I have just learned how to live-load content in to an admin-side WordPress plugin page, using ajax. My plugin sets up a management page (Tools) in the admin back-end, containing an empty div #cxt-results and a form with submit button cxt-submit . Thanks to the following PHP function and jQuery, when the button is clicked, the latest five WordPress posts of a given post type, 'viewpoint' , are fetched, and the response, their titles, is returned in to the cxt-results div, all in one list. I'm writing a WordPress plugin that I'd like to do the following: Add a WordPress plugin admin page that contains a button When you click the button, it loads an array of JSON objects from a file, then creates a WordPress post for each object I got #1 done, and I can see the array of JSON objects loading upon button click since I use console.log. (I made the button using this tutorial: [this video] -- uses AJAX.) But, how would I go about giving WordPress access to the JSON array so I can create posts using wp_insert_posts? Is this even possible?

I'm trying to implement basic ajax. I've been following this tutorial [LINK] . My JS fires when I click the button but I get a 400 from the ajax url: POST [LINK] 400 (Bad Request) As far as I can tell, I haven't strayed far from the tutorial code. Her is my JS: jQuery(document).ready(function($){ $('#baa_form').submit(function(){ var data = { action: 'baa_response' } $.post(ajaxurl, data, function(response){ alert('Hello'); }); return false; }); }); PHP: <?php function baa_add_menu() { global $baa_settings_page; $baa_settings_page = add_menu_page( 'Basic Admin Ajax', 'Basic Admin Ajax', 'edit_pages', 'basic-admin-ajax', 'baa_render_settings_page', false, 62.1 ); } function baa_load_scripts(

I am building a WordPress plugin(my first) and currently i am build the admin menu but i can't seem to be able to add some ajax functionality with my custom database. Right now it always returns 0 even though i use wp_die().I also used die() and exit() but still the same.I moved the hooks for the callback in the view file but then i get 400 messages. At some point i managed to get the whole page as a response. I made all this following this video [this video] and the resources from the developer page of wordpress My script: jQuery(document).ready(function ($) { $('#test-form').submit(function () { data = { action: 'get_data' } $.post(ajax_object.ajax_url, data, function (response) { alert(response
