What it is

A roughly hour-long Python tutorial by Keith Galli on building a GUI application with Tkinter. It covers Tkinter basics, builds a weather app frame, connects it to a weather API, and packages the result as an executable.

First off, Web Design with CSS is a lot prettier, in Python you have less options. But there is an editor called QT Designer , it lets you create GUIs and use them in your C++ or Python script. You may give it a try. Keith Galli made a [this video] on a Python GUI with TKinter which doesn't look that bad, regarding it's made with Python.

I am trying to use a weather GUI using Tkinter and I am following a tutorial @ [this video] and I am trying to add my own class instead of using more code. I keep getting errors stating that weather is not defined which I get, but how could I arrange my functions and classes to be able to use my class and print return str(name) +' ' + str(description) +' '+ str(tempOverall) ? I have tried to rearrange the code to run the get_weather() function but then I have to run and call the city name which I don't know yet until the user inputs the city name. This is my class... class temperature(): def __init__(self): super(temperature, self).__init__() self.tempOverall = (weather['main']['temp']) self.temp

I'm a Mac user and I used PyInstaller on a Pythonfile named weatherapp.py to get a mac Application Bundle. It's the TKInter GUI form this tutorial [this video] . After the process is complete this is how the inside of the 'dist'-folder looks like: [LINK] My Problem is when I launch the weatherapp.app (column on the left) it crashes before it could even open. But when I run the weatherapp unix executable (column on the right) the GUI opens without any errors. How do I get the .app to work as well? Thanks for your help

I'm trying to set up a GUI with tkinter, I used this post - Use Tkinter to Open file, run script and export file [LINK] as a reference and a great tutorial on youtube - [this video] . I want to be able to browse for a file, execute a pandas script that i have (for this example i only wrote something simple just to check if it works) and then save it. i'm having some issues with the script_python function. I get a name "df" is not defined error. (I called global df because i had a "local variable 'df' referenced before assignment" error and that what solved it) It should be a straight forward solution but somehow i can't wrap my head around it. Thanks a lot! import tkinter as tk from tkinter impor
