@AlejandroVicaria is right. I understand you are a beginner, so I am recommending one 4 hr long YouTube tutorial which is just awesome. Even I started learning from this video link [this video] . Hope it will guide you well.

Thanks, I wasn't fully understanding class-based views. For anyone wondering, this vod was most helpful in explaining it: [this video]

I am following this video tutorial to learn Django: [this video] I am at the "Your first app component" section where he creates an app and then migrates it. I have followed every one of his steps so far yet I keep getting the no changes detected error when I migrate the app I have tried researching ways to fix this but it doesn't seem like there is any one right way to do it, it's more of a case by case basis. I've made sure my app is under the install_apps section in the settings. I've tried python manage.py makemigrations but that tells me there are no changes detected. I've tried "python manage.py makemigrations product" to be more specific but it tells me that App 'product' could not be foun

I'm learning from tutorial: [this video] Step on which I got suck: 17 minutes 45 seconds (trydjango) PS C:\Users\piotr\dev\trydjango\src> python manage.py createsuperuser

I'm using Django verion 2.2.1 and using this Youtube tutorial: [this video] Maybe someone could recommend me to a very very recent Django tutorial that won't cause errors if I do everything correctly. I recently asked Udemy for a refund on a tutorial from around April this year. I am so pissed off right now! But I have to get this done because I'm the team leader for my Software Engineering class project.

@unathletic_coder as suggested in Namal Jayasundara's answer, I went to /project_name/lib/python3.7/site-packages/django/db/backends/sqlite3/schema.py at line 21 which starts with: def __enter__(self): and replaced the existing code with the suggested 3 lines of code. I'm doing [this video]

I am working through the following YT vid on Django and Python as I am looking to make my first app and trying to learn how Django works: [this video] I am working on adding new views to an app called Pages and trying to import the views from that app, but for some reason keep getting: NameError: 'views' is not defined. I am sure this is something small that I am missing due to my newness with python in general and importing. Here is my current code: from django.contrib import admin from django.urls import path #from Pages import views from Pages.views import homepage_view, toybox_view, lounge_view, gym_view urlpatterns = [ path('', views.homepage_view, name='home'), path('toybox/', views.toybox_

I was following along this [this video] tutorial on Django until minute 28:36 when the teacher uses a quick shortcut that appeared as ^C(trydjango) $ on the terminal, allowing him to continue typing to makemigrations after he did runserver . When I try to type in the terminal after python manage.py runserver , the enter button does not submit the commands, but rather enters down to a newline making me stuck. I am unsure how to continue with the tutorial, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
