What it is
A 4.5 hour freeCodeCamp video course that teaches Python from scratch using PyCharm. It covers variables, strings, lists, functions, loops, file I/O, modules and pip, and classes and inheritance, with small projects such as a calculator, a Mad Libs game and a quiz.

You can use for loops and lists to eliminate some variables and also generalize a bit: def calc_average(grades): #function used to calculate average, now takes a list return sum(grades)//len(grades) grades = [] number_of_tests = int(input("input the total number of test results >>")) for i in range(1, number_of_tests+1): g = int(input("input grade " + str(i) +" >>")) grades.append(g) avg = calc_average(grades) print(avg) I would explain everything in detail, but I am sure your text book will soon enough tell you about "for loops", "lists", and so on. They usually start slow, and let you do unnecessary work so you can get used to the basics. Keep on reading m8 :) (Or watch this video, in my o

So the "timer_end" thing is a function. You've to create a function to call when the timer runs out. So when the threading timer will end it will call automatically the function. You must do a function to run a threading timer. if you don't know what functions are or how they works i advise you to watch a really simple python tutorial like freeCodeCamp's ones. Here below I'll leave to you the link to their python course, that might help you, I hope I had helped: [this video] (P.S. in the course they advise you to install an IDE, but it's not necessary)

So you need to go through basics I think. I suggest to start with python language - it has really easy to remember syntax, and there are a lot of tutorials on YouTube (for example: [this video] ). And I believe that you need to start programming and then you need to program more, and more and suddenly you will realise that you understand "a German language" same way as you know how to use your smartphone or computer.

Hey, welcome to SO. I'm not sure, if it would help you, in case someone code them for you. (Check [ask]). Take some time, and try some tutorials, those would help you to come further in your study. Trust me, I've been through that.... (e.g. [this video] )

I am a new and only been learning for about 10hrs during an online youtube class seen here: [this video] at 3hr58min. I just may got ahead of myself and need to back track and relearn fundamentals. Multiple Choice Program Imports a class file called Question. Prompts the user 3 questions, tracks those questions and answers and prints a score at the end. Error: answer = input(question.prompt) --- AttributeError: 'str' object has no attribute 'prompt' class Question: def __init__(self, prompt, answer): self.prompt = prompt self.answer = answer from Question import Question question_prompts = [ "what color are apples?\n(a) Red\n(b) Purple\n(c) Orange\n\n", "what color are bananas?\n(a) Teal\n(b) Mag

You need to define a initial value for your variable, otherwise the interpreter has no way of asserting which is the former value of your variable. There are several ways of doing it. Approach 1 Either you declare a initial value for your variable, something like def new_function(): grade = 82 #Perform operation with grade #If statement Approach 2 You can receive grade as a parameter to the function. Parameters are arguments that the function receives that can be used during the function execution. def my_function(grade): if(grade >= 80 and grade < 90): #Do something if __name__ == "__main__": grade = 82 my_function(grade) But I recommend you start by learning the basics of the language. What your code does, is actually calling the find_element function with the string "value" , as you wrote it in quotation marks, making it a string literal button = driver.find_element_by_link_text('"value"') What you want to do is insert the name of the variable value without any "double" or 'single' quotation marks, like so. button = driver.find_element_by_link_text(value) As you are having a hard time dealing with such simple python syntax, I recommend you first learn the bare basics of the language before trying to write applications with it. There are a lot of free resources out there. I can recommend W3Schools [LINK] as a website with text and interactive examples or if you are more of

You should learn the basics of Python before messing with complex libraries. If this was part of some tutorial, you should try to find a different tutorial. This one is more of a reference, but it I've heard from beginners that it's very good. [this video] Sadly, I don't have a resource that I can recommend to find simple projects to work on. This site is fairly popular but not all the challenges are good. [LINK]

Well, there are plenty of the free courses on YouTube. Personally, I am not in the machine learning field. However, to get started in Python, I would suggest the following Python video: [this video] This is the same video I used when I first got started in Python. Once you have the basics down, I would suggest you do some beginner projects just to brush up on the skills you have learned. Some of the ones I recommend for total beginners are programs like Tic-Tac-Toe, Hangman, and Random code generators, or even a program that takes a string and turns it into a simple code (like making every letter "a" into "b" and "b" into "c"). Needless to say, there are many, many simple beginner projects. Do a
