I used JAVAFX. Really nice library for animations etc. Also really good for implementing the MVP design. A very good tutorial exists here [this video]

You should look up javafx. You can attach a css file to a GUI. it is fairly easy to use. I can give you some example code if you want. These are some good tutorials on how to use it: [this video] I use eclipse to create a css file right click the project -> select new -> other -> CSS file import javafx.application.*; import java.text.*; import java.util.*; import javafx.event.*; import javafx.scene.*; import javafx.scene.control.*; import javafx.scene.layout.*; import javafx.scene.input.*; import javafx.stage.*; import javafx.geometry.*; public class Display extends Application{ public static void main(String[] args){ launch(args); } @Override public void start(Stage stage) throws Exception{ HBox

Maybe you should consider using JavaFx if it is available. The reason why is because there is something called SceneBuilder that lets you drag and drop different items onto the pane that you are creating. If you wanted to use swing your best bet would be to use a JLabel, and then the JTextField next to the said JLabel. Honestly, I think javafx is much easier to use, and if you are considering using it I would watch these tutorials: [this video] Best of luck! :)

You can still use Java Swing, though I'd recommend using JavaFX. Designing UIs is easier as the SceneBuilder [LINK] helps you do just that. It is also newer, so longer support and development. The advantage of Swing is that it has been out for quite a long time, so you'll find more tutorials and help for Swing, but JavaFX is catching up. If you'd like to learn JavaFX, I recommend following the tutorial series [this video] by thenewboston on YouTube.

I was trying to learn JavaFX and used the code on this video: [this video] . I have Google it but could not find a solution. Then Eclipse IDE shows this error: [LINK] import javafx.application.Application; import javafx.event.ActionEvent; import javafx.event.EventHandler; import javafx.scene.Scene; import javafx.scene.control.Button; import javafx.scene.layout.StackPane; import javafx.stage.Stage; public class Testes extends Application{ Button botao; public static void main(String[] args) { launch(args); } @Override public void start(Stage primaryStage) throws Exception { primaryStage.setTitle("Controle de processos"); botao = new Button(); botao.setText("+"); StackPane layout = new StackPane();

so I dug into JavaFX for the last few days while following a tutorial [this video] . Now my problem is, that I cant run a project with a .fxml file in it. My code: Main: import javafx.application.Application; import javafx.fxml.FXMLLoader; import javafx.scene.Parent; import javafx.scene.Scene; import javafx.stage.Stage; public class Main extends Application { @Override public void start(Stage primaryStage) throws Exception{ Parent root = FXMLLoader.load(getClass().getResource("/main.fxml")); primaryStage.setTitle("Hello World"); primaryStage.setScene(new Scene(root, 300, 275)); primaryStage.show(); } public static void main(String[] args) { launch(args); } } Controller: package main.java.research

I am beginning learning with JavaFX but I am having issues to set up properly the project. I have been following a tutorial [this video] in order to learn how JavaFX works but when I run the project I get errors I do not know how to solve. I have been looking for people getting the same error and I found one in stackoverflow [LINK] but I have the feeling that does not correspond to my issue. Please, may you help me ?
