I am new to C++ and wxWidgets. During the last couple of days, I have followed a tutorial with Visual Studio into how to build wxWidgets desktop applications ( [this video] ). Now, because I am not familiar with Visual Studio, I wanted to move to edit the code with Atom and compile with MinGW from Windows command prompt. The app has the following files: cMake.h AnalogRead.h cMake.cpp AnalogRead.cpp In Visual Studio, you need to include two directories and one library in the project, which are the following: Paths: /wxWidgets/include /wxWidgets/include/msvc Libraries: /wxWidgets/lib/vc_lib Relative to the path where the the C++ code is. So I have tried to create the compile line, without success:

I had installed WxWidgets using this video tutorial : link [this video] I now need to uninstall it properly so I am concerned that if I just directly delete the entire folder created for WxWidgets and then remove from system variables will be fine or should I do something else Update: I forgot to mention that I am running Windows

Case: I am using VS 2019 to build a C++ project into .exe build, the program is based on 2 libraries the main one is wxWidgets and a wrapper C++ library around Python, this library namely: matplotlibcpp its a wrapper around the original Python matploblib library. My .exe program works fine on multiple computer (in deployment) without firing any missing .dll files without the use of matplotlibcpp , the last step was using matplotlibcpp to plot. I am aware of the differences between Release and Debug Build modes and Build Architectures (Win32(x86) and x64) Environment: VS++19, Project Configuration Properties -> General -> Platform Toolset = v142 C/C++ -> General -> Additional Include Library
