I am currently installing Ubuntu Desktop on my Windows 11 machine (dual-boot, not replacing Windows OS). I partitioned my disk in half so that half of it is for my Windows OS and the other half is free space which I can use now for Ubuntu. I am following a YouTube tutorial [this video] and am at the part where I choose my "Use as:", "mount point", and "Device for boat loader installation. For "Use as", there are 13 options: Ext4 journaling file system, Ext3 journaling file system, Ext2 file system, btrfs journaling file system, JFS journaling file system, XFS journaling file system, FAT16 file system, FAT32 file system, swap area, Reserved BIOS boot area, EFI System Partition, physical volume for

I am trying to Install Ubuntu(24.04 LTS). While following this Tutorial [this video] . As in the video I created a unallocated Partition although going to Ubuntu. This is showing. [LINK] On Checking the terminal the terminal is telling that the whole disk 1 is being considered as one partition. How can I fix this? I found this video: [this video] It is for version 22.04. The Ubuntu install app seems to be a lot better than the 24.04 one. Also I made a Ubuntu (not Xubuntu) intall USB, so I have "Disks" to mount partitions. I mounted the ext4 partition. But still I cannot get my hard drive to show up as device for bootloader install. Are there maybe BIOS settings I missed, or flag settings. It can't be that complicated to make a dual boot with windows. There are tons of questions on the web, but none of the answers helped me. What am I missing?

I need to dual boot my Windows 11 system with Ubuntu 22.04.5 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish) to run ROS2, Gazebo and Docker natively. I tried following YT tutorials and yet ran into some errors. I'll be eternally grateful if anyone could guide me through this :) Note: I'm a CS engineering undergrad and use Ubuntu on ThinkVision extensively at my university labs. I'm comfortable with Bash, the command line and Linux as a whole. However, I have zero experience with dual-booting a Linux distro when an existing closed-source OS is running.
