I believe HtmlToOpenXML [LINK] is dependent on the OpenXml SDK [LINK] . In this case because HtmlToOpenXML does not support page numbers, you can use the SDK to add page numbers directly. You can find out how to do this by generating the code required to create a simple word document with page numbers using the SDK's OpenXml Productivity Tool's Reflect Code [this video] feature. I have done this myself but it generates a lot of code so I won't post it here. It's very easy to do though.

You could read this post Open XML SDK and LINQ to XML [LINK] by Eric White (Eric wrote a lot of posts about OpenXML and LINQ). And then you will be able to query your Excel file data with LINQ. You might want to see the spreadsheet objects structure in The Open XML SDK Productivity Tool [this video] , which can generate the source code for you. You could use this code to understand how to programmatically access the data you need.

i have used several SDK, for now, the best is Aspose.words, the openxml sdk 2.5 is also a nice choice, but the api is too low, so if you use openxml sdk that means will be writing more code, and remenber user openxml sdk tool together, it is a nice tool can make coding simple. you can look this video for a overview: how to use openxml sdk tool [this video] another choice: GemBox.Document [LINK] , a commercial option, cheaper than aspose.words.

Open XML has not only SDK, but also a tool for converting any document to C# code [this video] . Best way to find out how to use some word feature is to make 2 short documnets - one with this feature used and the other - without. Then convert both documnets into C# code and compare generated code (you can use WinMerge, for example).
