Use the built-in DFU Many of the ST ARM chips have a DFU utility built in. To use it, you need to raise BOOT0 and plug it in. Full documentation is available from ST, in AN3156 [LINK] . The code is currently here [LINK] although it might move from time to time. Look for DFUSE on the ST site. There is a video on YouTube [this video] . Using VBUS for normal USB USB either compiles for or without VBUS signaling, depending on a flag set in STM32CubeMX [LINK] . ST provides all the necessary documentation and software concerning DFU and USB on their product pages. They also provide a working DFU. You need to raise BOOT0 and possibly BOOT1, depending on the device you have. You can write your own DFU; i

I am trying to use Python on the STM32 microcontroller family and am using the STM32F4 Discovery board with the STM32F429 MCU for experimentation. The MicroPython GitHub ReadMe has a walkthrough for the STMs, but I keep failing at the deployment step where it keeps raising the value error 'No DFU device found' . (This happens on Manjaro [LINK] inside VirtualBox [LINK] on a Windows host.) Now I've tried simply getting the board recognized as a DFU [LINK] device on both Linux and the Windows host machine, to no avail. Windows does show the board in the hardware manager, but it always shows it as "STM32 STLink". It also is not recognized by the file system as mass storage, as opposed to a STM32

Overview I need to program a recently purchased STM32F407ZGT6 [LINK] board In 'normal mode', my computer doesn't recognize the board as a Ports (COM & LPT)/STMElectronics Virtual COM Port when connected via USB (I'm using a Windows 10 Pro [LINK] ). The LEDs turn on, and I can get it into ' DFU [LINK] mode'. When I try to debug the code, I get the "No ST-LINK detected!" [LINK] message in either mode. This is my first time connecting the board and also my first time dealing with STM32 [LINK] Despite the instructions [LINK] , I want to program the board using C directly from the STM32CubeIDE [LINK] . Here is what I found I found this question [ 1 [LINK] ] where Device Manager [LINK] reads the S
