What it is
A 36-second screen recording from 2012 that shows how different Android Interpolator types change the motion of a view animation. It is a short demo posted by the Android-er blog channel with no narration, linking to a blog post and a follow-up video on ObjectAnimator.

My guess is that these kind of animation are to develop with a 3rd party program, and are not done by Android itself. This way you have a ready-to-instantiate file (.gif maybe?) that you just call when the view pager is switched. Looking also to the other animations in the example (look @ "Meet New Friends", how every circle pops by himself) I think this was the used approach in your example-link. If you are anyway looking for something that would look like what is done there, I'd suggest you start playing around Animator objects (and its subclasses like Value/ObjectAnimator) to animate the view you want. This can be done also via XML files, describing the animation you need. An important ro

I found that my animation was much smoother than the current accepted answer when I switched it to use the Overshoot Interpolator. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <set xmlns:android=" [LINK] " android:interpolator="@android:anim/overshoot_interpolator" > <scale android:duration="700" android:fromXScale="0.0" android:fromYScale="0.0" android:pivotX="50%" android:pivotY="50%" android:toXScale="1.0" android:toYScale="1.0" /> </set> Here is a video showing examples of the interpolators: [this video] Here is where it's touched on in the Android documentation: [LINK]
