You can simulate it on lower versions by using ViewFlipper for example, but I would not suggest it if you have a lot of View elements on your UI because this requires all the Activities' code to be merged into a single Activity. With a lot of Views you'll max-out the CPU/GPU limits pretty easily. All you get is messy code and bloated XML files. This is the effect - [this video] My suggestion - just stick to what the platform API version offers by default and don't rape the hardware.

I'm trying to animate view changes when I click on tabs in my android app with ViewFlipper, but the problem is that views that were added to TabSpec with setContent can no longer be added to ViewFlipper or this exception is thrown: 03-03 19:12:19.082: ERROR/AndroidRuntime(229): Caused by: java.lang.IllegalStateException: The specified child already has a parent. You must call removeView() on the child's parent first. How I'm adding tabs private ArrayList<View> tabViews = new ArrayList<View>(); private ViewFlipper flipper; .... View tabView = contentFactory.createTabContent("tab_" + labelId); tabViews.add(tabView); mTabHost.getTabContentView().addView(tabView); spec.setIndicator(tabIndicator)

I am trying to create a slide transition effect like the one posted in the video [this video] . When the button is clicked the current div#1 will be sliding out to the left and hide itself while another div#2 will be sliding from the right and move to the location of of the previous slided out div. And when the button is trigger again the div#2 will be sliding out to right while the previously hide div#1 will be sliding out from left. I have been trying to modify the code at [LINK] as below but I can't seem to get the result I wanted. Could anyone pls share me some thought on how to do it. function toggleDivs() { var $home = $("#home"); var $memberHome = $("#member-home"); var $slideOut, $slideIn

Hello guys basically i have two divs which are two pages, One is the home page and the other page should come up when a button is clicked. My method doesn't quite work yet and isn't correct because i want each div to be 100% width and height and the screen but it works when i use px. what do i do so that i don't have to use absolute values like the px instead percentages ? This is my css so far: html, body { margin: 0; padding: 0; } #container { position:absolute; width:100%; height:100%; overflow:hidden } #inner { position: relative; width: 800px; } #home { position:absolute; width: 1300px; height: 1000px; background-color: red; } #member-home { position:absolute; left:1300px; width: 1000px
