which is the most memory optimized layout in Android? => I would say NO layout is memory optimized until its managed and designed with good hierarchy. Now For taking decision of Which layout to use while preparing UI, it always depends on some points and criteria like: How you design your UI with particular layout (RelativeLayout, TableLayout, GridLayout or any) Hierarchy level you maintain while designing your UI. What types of screen design requirement you have. If you have requirement like Equal length buttons then you should use LinearLayout, have requirement like Tabular display then use TableLayout, etc. Still, I would suggest you to read Optimizing Your UI [LINK] or watch video of Hie

Have you tried performance testing your app? Your UI could be causing the problem. Do you see the same Jerk if you temporarily disable the notification bar? Have you tried using the Hierarchy Viewer [this video] on Activity B?

I'm trying to use hierarchy viewer and pixel perfect, following the demo found here: [this video] and the information from the android developer site: [LINK] The two resources have hierarchy viewer in the /tools directory, but I don't seem to have it there. Any ideas for this problem?
