This book is pretty good - [LINK] - You also might like this series of videos [this video] You'll need to understand HTML, the JavaScript DOM and JavaScript, as well as some server-side language, HTTP and other functionality.

My suggestion for you: free code camp [this video] function getPassedUsers() { var rr = ["a", "b"]; var xx = ["c"]; return { rr: rr, xx: xx, }; } function ABC() { var data = getPassedUsers(); console.log(data.rr); console.log(data.xx); // you should first call `getPassedUsers` function // so `getPassedUsers` generate that data and return it for you // and you will save it in `data` var // if you want data from `getPassedUsers` you should call it first }

@sven this is the link for the fetch method: [LINK] you can use js to change the content of your HTML, without refresh the page. first, get new content with fetch and then, replace it with old content with DOM. If you're a beginner programmer, I think it's better, you don't go for "searching in DOM instead of database" with PHP. if you want to do that, go to learn js: [this video]

@Paul check this out! [LINK] If you can add a plugin to your WP, this (or a similar plugin) may be able to help you. I literally just had to start learning javascript a few months ago for a new job, and I followed this tutorial [this video] and did the tutorial on freecodecamp.org at the same time. I haven't worked XML with JS, but I bet you can figure it out :)

I've been watching a javascript tutorial to refresh my knowledge of it. I just need some guidance on why he decided to use this code "style" Basically, there's a variable named result with an empty string ("") and I'm not so sure why he used (result += ...) when he can also use (result = ...) where it showed the same output when I tried. function mySentence(myName, myVerb){ var result = ""; result += myName + " " + myVerb + " towards the tree."; return result; } console.log(mySentence("Dale", "walked")); vs function mySentence(myName, myVerb){ var result = ""; result = myName + " " + myVerb + " towards the tree."; return result; } console.log(mySentence("Dale", "walked")); Link of video: [VI

I also playing around with JavaScript and started with this [this video] . Seems to be the same code. I changed: const activeAnchor = document.querySelector("[data-page="+ CSS.escape(className) + "]"); if (entry.isIntersecting){ bubble.style.setProperty('left', directions.left.toString() + 'px'); bubble.style.setProperty('top', directions.top.toString() + 'px'); bubble.style.setProperty('width', directions.width.toString() + 'px'); bubble.style.setProperty('height', directions.height.toString() + 'px'); console.log(bubble.style); } And it works, but do not ask my why. here my full JavaScript file: const section = document.querySelectorAll('section'); const bubble = document.querySelector('.bubble

Hey guys today is my first day of learning to code, so I'm sure this is a super dumb question. I'm following along freecodecamp beginner javascript video [this video] and at 11:20, when after writing console.log(a) on line 3 and running the script he gets null then 7 but i get undefined then 7. Anybody know why? [LINK]

Ok. I can now understand that it's an IIFE. So without the internal `half` function declaration, the external `half` variable will actually be assigned the returned value & not the function itself. But I do not understand how can it be immediately invoked without passing the required argument. For reference, the tutorial comes from the following YT video from freeCodeCamp.org : [this video]

I have same question about Arrow function, but FreeCodeCamp tutor in this video says lets write higher order arrow function at 2:53.04. [this video]

I have been following a JavaScript course (freeCodeCamp) on [this video] Timestamp:02:03:06. Before following up with their solution I made my own attempt. In the project, I am supposed to create a function updateRecords that adds information to the records of a "collection" object following this criteria: If property to be added to record is an empty string value, delete the property If it already has a value, update the old value to new value. If the update property is a track/song, add that to the track list. I am getting this error: Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'hasOwnProperty') at updateRecords (updateFunction.js:33:23) at updateFunction.js:52:13 Here's my
