Expanding on above Issue Tracker Thread, One may add a User Tag Shortcut as per Texmaker User Tag demo video [this video] . for example for an exit from inline math mode, create a user tag as inmathexit as shown below with $@$ @ in LaTeX content. @ is for place holder • . The first placeholder will be replaced with the math symbols while typing and with TAB key one can move from first place holder to second place holder to type the running text and exit math mode. Also refer to Using the "•" place holders section of Texmaker doc [LINK] For more information on handling Personals tags and tools : [LINK]

Cites Thomas · 2016-08 · TeX - LaTeX Stack Exchange · on “After making a code snippet containing multiple lines with "@", can I get the cursor to jump between the "dots/bullets" in texmaker?”

Say I made the code snippet: $@$@ , like the standard inline mathmode ( ctrl + shift + m ), but added a "dot/bullet" after the dollar sign. Can I jump from the first to the last and vice versa? When I'm trying this, upon expanding the code, the cursor automatticly jumps to the last dot. Why is this happening? Here is an example of creating a snippet [this video] with one dot. In addition I'm also wondering whether I can jump to another dot after I've started written in either of them. There is a discribing picture of the scenario in section 4.3. Sorry if I got the tag wrong: there were non for snippet or texmaker , feel free to change it. Also, don't just downvote without giving a reason. Thanks
