AngularJS MTV Meetup: AngularJS + Yeoman (2012-10-9)
Why Stack Overflow recommends it
Stack Overflow users link it when answering AngularJS beginner and project-structure questions, as a way to see Yeoman scaffolding and the Angular team's recommended workflow in action.
Recommended by 4 people across 4 different months, 2012 to 2013.
What it is
A recording of the October 2012 AngularJS MTV Meetup. Brad Green gives a short intro to AngularJS, then Brian Ford shows how Yeoman's AngularJS generators scaffold controllers, directives, services, unit tests and whole apps.

I would recomend using Yeoman [LINK] , as I suppose so do the developers (they advocate it quite a lot, check out their gPlus page, or this video [this video] of theirs). It allows for scaffolding (following the structure of Angular-Seed [LINK] ), testing, live previewing via a JS server, and deployment - it concatenates all the .js files together, avoiding the issue of multiple requests. Check it out!

What I found quite useful are the MTV meetup sessions. They give a good overview about how to apply best practices in AngularJS: Best Practices : [LINK] Angular+Yeoman : [this video] There are many more videos on youtube. I hope this helps giving a first idea.

You have a few bugs here. In your HTML you should write saveData() (not saveDate()). When you click any element inside your li (including your button) , it will set your showInput at true. You are dealing with a pure JavaScript object within the scope. There is a question specificlly asking what to do with this at an AngularJS Meetup you can see here [this video] . The best solution seems to use an object so the child and the parent use the same referenced object. Here is how I've done it (using a key system instead of the label would be safer tho) Look at this fiddle for my solution. There's so many possibilities that I'd nudge you in a slightly different direction to get started. Check out Yeoman ( [LINK] ). Yeoman is a nice way to learn because, after running it (which just takes typing 'yo angular' on the command line once Yeoman is installed), it gets you started with a small working app that you can experiment with and it scaffolds up a nice overall base (code/test scaffold, tools, ...) to build from. And it even uses grunt, as you did, to launch your app (you'll just type grunt server and your app should appear in a browser (with live reload working - which is a cool time saver). Yeoman should save you from having to figure out the kinds of things you are now- is m
