You need a picture of the door closed. You need to examine the reveals, the space between the door and the jamb. Is it tight in one corner and open in the opposite? If the door is too close to the strike side (latch), you spread the hinge to pull the door back to the hinge side. If the door is too close to the hinge side you pinch the hinge. Generally this is the problem. There could also be settling of the jamb with respect to the jamb and door. Again pictures would be needed. If the frame has settled around the door then you can use a sander to sand down the top or side of the door. I recommend an orbital sander. Sometimes you use both techniques together. This problem is all too common and is usually caused by the top hinge actually bending. The temporary solution is to remove that top pin and bend the hinge back. A better solution is to replace the hinge or all hinges with one made of stronger metal. The best solution is to convert to a 4-hinge door with strong hinges to begin with. It's practically irresponsible that manufacturers don't do this by default, especially for heavy exterior doors! I recommend watching this video to properly diagnose the problem before taking the wrong action: [this video]

I moved into a new home recently, and the front door is out of plumb, causing it to rub on the frame. [LINK] I found this tutorial on adjusting hinges to plumb a door [this video] . Tip #1 is to tighten the screws - they're all tight. Tip #2 is to drive longer screws into the frame to "suck" the door into the frame. The frame is steel, so I don't think that would work. Tip #3 is to force the top hinge's plates together using an adjustable wrench. I would try this, but the top and bottom hinge are McKinney spring hinges. Here are some photos: [LINK] [LINK] I can't find instructions for adjusting a spring hinge to plumb a door; all the McKinney and Everbilt spring hinge instructions solely describe
