It is a new schematic adding PWA [LINK] capabilities to an angular app, to use it, just run ng add @angular/pwa --project <your-project-name> and it will create all the required files and register the service worker. You can find more info in the 2018 ng-conf keynote [this video]

Looking at some videos of Ng Conf 2018 (for example: [this video] ) and other links around the internet it is stated that the size of a Hello World Angular application, on version 6, is lower than 10kb. Nevertheless, I can't get even closer to this. I've done the following: Created a fresh app using angular cli ( ng new project_name) Cleared the entire app.component.html file Removed the title property from app.component.ts Built it using angular cli ( ng build --prod ) And even using what I understand to be the most basic possible angular app, I still get the following results (far bigger than 10KB): chunk {0} runtime.a66f828dca56eeb90e02.js (runtime) 1.05 kB [entry] [rendered] chunk {1} styles.

there is some actions that can optimize your application like: Build optimization [LINK] Using Lazy loaded modules for Run Time Performance use OnPush Change Detection to run change detection only when an Input changes and don't forget to unsubscribe from your observables Preserve Whitespaces to remove all white spaces "angularCompilerOptions": { "preserveWhitespaces": false } you can upgrade to newer version of angular and use Ivy Render Engine more details [this video] enable Gzip compression [LINK] Server-side rendering: Rendering the first page of your application on the server can boost performance, speed and load time you can use webpack Bundle Analyzer for performance analysis to remove un
