I need to install and use the Python NumPy module (and then later the Pandas module) in order to process heavy data in Python. I downloaded and installed ENTHOUGHT, but it wasn't what I wanted all that extra clutter of extra modules (which defeats the purpose of importing Python modules only as needed), but the uninstall did not work properly (i.e. it left garbage folders and ENTHOUGHT remnants all over my computer). I have tried installing NumPy via EASY_INSTALL and PIP (two package managers if I understand correctly) - but with no success. Every time I try to run my program, I get the error: "no module named numpy". I have searched the questions here and have tried to alter my ENVIRONMENT

I am using windows 8.1 with python 2.7.9 and I think I cannot get python to install/import modules properly. I looked this [LINK] post and when typing set PATH into the cmd prompt it lists ";C:Python27\Scripts\;C:Python27\" I have tried it with just "Python27" or with the "Python27\Scripts" and none of them work. The location of the python application according to its properties is "C:\Python27". When I type in python into the cmd it says "python is not recognized as an internal or external command" which is not supposed to happen according this video [this video] . I can use Pyscripter and type code into the python command line and it works. So the real problem is I cannot import modules. I have

I am trying to install enum34 so that I can use the dbf module for arcpy. I downloaded dbf, but enum34 is a requirement. I am using ArcPython 2.7. I downloaded the enum34 zip file - enum34-1.1.6.zip (md5) - from [LINK] . Then, I basically followed the instructions in this video: [this video] and used Command Prompt. The install appeared to be successful and within my python27 folder in the site-packages folder, there is a enum34==1.1.6-py2.7.egg file. I then tried to import enum34 in Command Prompt, but I am receiving the error: Traceback <most recent call last>: File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> ImportError: No module named enum34 I downloaded easy_install by running this code - [LINK] - in ID
