How to install Chromedriver on Windows 10
Why Stack Overflow recommends it
Stack Overflow users link it when answering or asking about Selenium errors where Chromedriver is not found, since it walks through setting the PATH on Windows.

What it is
A short screen-recorded tutorial showing how to download Chromedriver on Windows 10 and add it to the system PATH variable. This lets Selenium scripts launch Chrome without giving the full path to the executable. Presented by Artur Spirin.

All that means is that the path to your chromedriver is wrong. Check that it is definitely in: "C:\users\flaviamadau\desktop\schoolpython\chromedriver.exe" Or, if you havent already, add it to your path in the first place. Check out the video for how to do that if you havent: [this video]

For any driver that Selenium must use to open the browser ( chromedriver , geckodriver , etc), you don't have to worry about where it is installed, as long as it's set in the PATH variable. If you have it set in the OS PATH variable, you must be able to run it from the command or cmd (it's always good to make sure it's working). Here's how you can set it (append to the existing value): Article: [LINK] Video: [this video] Then you can just instantiate it as follows: WebDriver driver = new FirefoxDriver(); OR WebDriver driver = new ChromeDriver(); Hope it's somehow helpful.

I am trying to automate some stuff I do day-to-day online and get some experience in webscraping. I saw some stuff about Selenium and Python being good for beginners and thought I would give it a try. I ended up getting a simple script to work on my home computer but it doesn't find the Chrome binary at the path I am giving and I do not know what to do. I used this to set my PATH environment variable to the directory that holds my chromedriver [this video] I downloaded ChromeDriver 74.0.3729.6 (latest stable release) from [LINK] I am using python3, visual studio code, and Ubuntu if any of that matters. import time from selenium import webdriver from selenium.webdriver.common.keys import Keys #Sta

I was using chromedriver ver. 75.0.3770.8 however Chrome browser was updated by then and now I need to install chromedriver a least 77.0. I did so, I exchange chromedriver.exe file in the folder where the previous but it didn't work, Still there was error code 199 -> that available verison of chromedriver is 75. Then I used webdriver-manager update --versions.chrome 77.0.3865.40 and wbedriver-status command says that I have twoe versions of chromedriver: I/status - chromedriver versions available: 76.0.3809.12, 77.0.3865.40 [last] But when I attempt to run test it only seems to see 75 verison and error 199 still occurs. I've added Path Env. Variable as on this video: [this video] Any ideas how to

I'm not what your expected output is, but it seems like you want to access the text in all of the span tags with data-encore-id="type" . The following code does this. Please note that for the code compile you will need to install the selenium module and a browser driver. You can reference the selenium documentation [LINK] for steps on how to set it up. You can also use this video [this video] as a reference for installing the chromedriver on windows 10. from selenium import webdriver from bs4 import BeautifulSoup from time import sleep # instantiate a Chrome object driver = webdriver.Chrome() url = " [LINK] " # send GET request via Chrome driver to execute all of the JS driver.get(url) # add to s
