I've watched the movie a couple of times (young son), and there is a point in 'Let It Go' on Elsa's trek up the mountain where she begins experimenting with her powers. The moment I am referring to is in the beginning of song, where she is blowing snow back and forth, it cuts to her in the front again with some snow floating just behind her and sweeps her hands behind her and all the snow in the shot and above the frame comes down like water. Is that snow turned to water, or am I miss-seeing that and it is still frozen? I thought it pertinent because she consistently refuses to thaw anything because 'she doesn't know how'. The real answer is probably option 5, backed by whichever of options 1-4 you feel fits. However it's likely the choice is not the same for each character. Elsa arrives in Storybrook inadvertantly through magic, and apparrently with only the clothes she stands up in. It's likely she keeps wearing the same clothes, possibly with one of the other characters lending her some spare underwear. Option 2 seems possible for Elsa. In this following clip from the original Frozen (2013), the great thaw [LINK] , we see that from 2:35 -- 2:37, snow (which is small particles of ice) simply disappear, so Elsa has the power to make ice just go away. She trivially can also make new ice, so it seems reasonable that when her dress gets dirty, she can just make the outer layer of it disappear and re-freeze it. Also, she can make regular clothing disappear by turning them into ice ( Let It Go [this video] , 3:09), so the underwear problem can also be solved by melting her old ones and remaking them (if they weren't magical), or simply via the above description in the previous paragraph (if they previo
