Why Stack Overflow recommends it
Stack Overflow users link it as a worked example of the Bootstrap 3 collapsing navbar, both to answer questions and as the tutorial they were following when their own navbar toggle or dropdown failed.

What it is
A short screencast tutorial from Neil Rowe's Coders Guide series that builds a responsive Bootstrap 3 navbar with a site name, a dropdown menu, and a toggle button that collapses on phones and small tablets. It walks through the markup and classes step by step.

This is simply the pattern of bootstrap 's mobile menu. When you click in the sqare that replace the menu, the menu will appear if you applied the scripts correctly. Just like that. See this link above: [this video]

I am trying to create a portfolio for a FreeCodeCamp project, and using this video [this video] as inspiration for my navbar. Here is the CodePen [LINK] showing what I have done so far. As you can see my navbar does not respond the same way as in the video and I am not experienced enough to know why. Is the video outdated? Do the methods he uses in the video not work in CodePen? Have I missed something else? Any feedback is much appreciated. Code: <script src=" [LINK] "></script> <html> <head> <title> </title> <meta name="viewport"content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0"> </head> <body> <div class="navbar navbar-custom navbar-fixed-top"> <div class="container"> <a href="#" class="navbar-br

I'm wanting to remove .btn-group from the divs while the screen is less than 1339px, so that the layout isn't affected on smaller screens. I'm using bootstrap v3. I like the feel of the layout using just navbar for <1339px, so I'd like to just remove the split buttons during those viewports. However I'd like to keep them for >1340. I'd like it to look like [this video] . I'm not quite sure where to start or how to do it. I've looked at several answers from other threads but they don't seem to work. <header class="page-header"> <div class="navbar navbar-default"> <div class="container"> <div class="navbar-header"> <a class="navbar-brand" href="index.php">Mommy Info</a> <button class="navbar-toggle
