I installed a BLTouch on my Ender 3 following this video: [this video] . What I noticed too late was that when installing the BLTouch, I swapped the brown and red wires followed by connecting it to the mainboard. Then I realized that the printer wouldn't turn on. After reading some of the comments, I swapped back the wire and I could see the BLTouch do its self-test. However, it seems that I need to plug into the USB before the LCD + motors can work. So is my mainboard fried? Or how should I fix it?

I am very new to 3D printing and after finding the bed on my Ender 3 Pro to be very uneven I decided to install a bl-touch module and new firmware from TH3D [LINK] . I use Cura and it works fine but it only probes the the center as U put in the G28 G29 commands. Instead if I enter only the G28; HOME ALL AXES command, it performs the 12 point test. At the very end of it however, it does a HARDSTOP against the x axis bracket and if i leave in the G29 command it will keep running until I think it may damage the belt. I did find an old post from 2015 with the same problem and he found a fix in the marlin firmware but the firmware has been updated several times and I am unable to find anything si

The printer I am working on is an Artillery Sidewinder X1. I have fitted it with a 3DTouch (BLTouch clone) bed leveling probe purchased from Bangood. I have printed a mount for it and plugged it into the main board. Once that was done, I edited the firmware and enabled all settings for the 3DTouch roughly following the directions from Teaching Tech's video here. [this video] After flashing the firmware, an error message appears on every boot saying: Failed to enable Bed Leveling echo: Bed Leveling off echo: Fade Height Off ok After pressing confirm, ABL routine does not work. It homes the X-axis, then the Y-axis, deploys and stows the 3DTouch probe once. It also will show an error message for a s
