Debugging in Code::Blocks
Why Stack Overflow recommends it
Stack Overflow users link it as the quick how-to for getting breakpoints and the debugger working in Code::Blocks, often while asking why their own setup does not stop at breakpoints.

What it is
A 46-second screencast showing how to use the Code::Blocks debugger, with GCC for Win32 and GDB, to set a breakpoint and inspect variables in that scope. It is a short walkthrough by Roman Zeyde from 2009.

I am using codeblock and according to this YouTube video I need to add a file to a project before using a debugger on it. I have a file but no project, how do I add it to a project? [this video]

I'm trying to debug a program in Code::Blocks. I followed this guide [LINK] and this short video [this video] as far as I could, but the debugger doesn't stop at breakpoints ... I saw a similar question [LINK] which remained unsolved (I wasn't sure if I should bump it or open a new one with more details), I do have the "Produce debugging symbols [-g]" flag checked. Optimizations and "Strip all symbols [-s]" are also all disabled. I even tried the flag -ggdb as suggested there [LINK] , no success either. I'm using TDM-GCC 4.5.2 (I just upgraded, previously I had the same issue with 4.5.1), and the debugger is GNU gdb (GDB) 7.2 (previously same issue with GDB 7.1). I'm on Windows 7 x64, using Code:

I followed the instruction from this video to run the code line by line: [this video] However, after I pressed F8, it just ran without going to the breakpoint(I couldn't see the yellow triangle). In addition, I also tried "attach to process", and it was the same. Did I miss anything?(btw, there are multiple files in my project, but I guess that won't be the problem, right? cuz I could do this easily in VS studio. Perhaps, I am not that familiar with codeblocks) Thanks for help!
