Yes, I got a native extension (ANE) to work using the Flash IDE. You need to rename the .ane file to a .swc file. This video should help: [this video] EDIT: This assumes that you have overlayed the Air 3.0 SDK on Flash, and installed the ADT command-line tool. As of now, you can only package apps that use native extensions with ADT. More info on overlaying the Air 3.0 SDK: [LINK]

Thanks for the answers. They made me research a bit further into this subject. What I found was this: Before you can use: var vibe:Vibration; if(Vibration.isSupported){ vibe = new Vibration(); vibe.vibrate(500); } You have to go to "Edit ActionScript Settings" > "Libary Path" > "Browse to SWC file" There you have to put these 2 file in: VibrationActionScriptLibary.swc - You can get with this [LINK] zip file com.adobe.extensions.Vibration.swc - In the same zip file and directory. You have to change the .ane to .swc Next you have to import com.adobe.nativeExtensions.Vibration; Just put that line with the other imports. This was all you have to do in Flash. (Besides coding the actual game...) N

I recently download an Android app that allowed a program to send a text via my number. I did not share my number. It just sent it because it had "send SMS messages" enabled. I don't know if they coded in air for android using as3 but i know it is possible to get the android device phone. Any ideas on how to do that? I know how to send a sms once I get the users phone. I can do this by sending the users phone to a php script. But I don't know how to get their phone number. Thanks UPDATE 9/24/12 I found this bit of code thanks to a post below. However, I do not know how to call the TELEPHONY_SERVICE class. I think I need this line of code below but I don't know how to use it. Context.getSyste
