This is going to appear as unhelpful but ultimately you need to learn how VueJS works. Stackoverflow isn't here to teach you the basics of a framework. Below are a few helpful videos for VueJS beginners. They cover the problems you're having. [LINK] [this video] EDIT: So to elaborate on our comment thread, you can separate files out like this. Importantly, call your logic file something different to your template file so you don't accidentally import that and not the template. Your file structure would look something like ... └ /components └ /BarcodeLookup └ BarcodeLookup.css └ BarcodeLookupLogic.js └ BarcodeLookup.vue Your Vue file ... <style scoped src="@/components/BarcodeLookup/BarcodeLookup.

It is my first day learning VUE, and I'm following a tutorial by freeCodeCamp.org on YTB. When it comes to the concept of component, the lecturer showed how to create a login form project by using components. I followed exactly what she typed, but the code just didn't run. I'm confused why that happened. Here is the ytb address: [this video] , and the component section started from 00:29:20. Here are the codes. Can anyone tell the reason plz? thx ahead! <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>vueComponents</title> <style type="text/css"> [v-cloak]{ display: none; } input { margin: 10px; display: block; } </style> </head> <body> <div id="app" v-cloak> <login-form /> </div> <script src=" [LINK] "></sc

I am so confusing about Vue's structure. First time, I learnt from a video by freeCodeCamp channel on YouTube [this video] . After that, I found a book to learn Getting to Know Vue.js Learn to Build Single Page Applications in Vue from Scratch by Brett Nelson The problem I faced was that when I follow the tutorial on YouTube, I used unpkg to run and it worked but with the book, they use jsdelivr and when I used the same code with the code I used for unpkg , it didn’t work. I have no idea about what I should learn because 2 tutorials from 2 sources I used were totally different. Code I use for unpkg <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <title>Vue 3</title> </head> <body> <div id="app"> {{ propertyName }}
