What it is

I have read the documentation [LINK] and it didn't mention anything about native transpiling features. Maybe thats the reason about why babel and webpack build npm modules in order to add those features to NodeJS. I think that maybe you aren't loading this piece of code: node_modules/babel-plugin-check-es2015-constants/ because you are ignoring everything that is in the /node_modules folder. I think that if const isn't supported in the version of babel that you are running, you could use webpack and search for a proper configuration, I have read [LINK] that there are modules that convert const in to var declarations, since 2015 until now. Here is a cool tutorial for webpack ---> [this video] Hope

I am working on a Django project and want to enhance the front-end using npm and webpack5. My web development experience has been primarily with Django, and I'm new to npm and webpack. I've run into a few issues during this integration process and need some guidance. Also to note, I am using webpack5 and some knowledge on configuration seems limited (i.e. Asset Modules) Here are some of the libraries I am including in my project: Django v3.2 python 3.7.13 Node Libraries I am using Bootstrap v5.3.3 Bootstrap-icons v1.11.3 jQuery v3.7.1 jQuery-ui v1.13.3 jQuery-validation v1.20.0 metro4-dist v4.5.0 webpack v5.91.0 webpack-cli v5.1.4 webpack-dev-server v5.0.4 [etc] Tutorials/Guides I've Used Sh

Maybe you could do two things. First you could use the npm prune command [LINK] to unbuild packages that are not listed in the packages.json dependencies. This way you can get rid of those that the package manager cant audit, search for vulnerabilities and fix. Second, you could use webpack [this video] in order to list dependencies and set how they will be loaded, in order to optimize your app. Hope this help you, or at least give you some ideas to do your research :)

I'm planning to use Webpack for a project and I'm setting up my workflow with Html-loader + file-loader to get a production html file with dynamic src for the images, as Colt Steele teaches in this video [this video] . Here are my src/ files: index.html <!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="en"> <head> <meta charset="UTF-8"> <title>Popular on Letterboxd</title> </head> <body> <img src="./assets/chira.jpg" /> </body> </html> index.js: import img from './assets/chira.jpg'; import "./main.css"; And main.css body { background-color: darkblue; } These are my config files (I have an individual for dev and production and a common for both): webpack.common.js: const path = require('path'); const HtmlWebpackPlugin

Update After writing these sentences I gave myself the answer. With style-loader i do not need to build first, i can even checkout my repository and start webpack-dev-server. Is this correct? However, second question is remaining. I've got a Spring-Boot Application using thymeleaf and webpack. In my startpage.html I'm including a stylesheet by link tag: <!DOCTYPE html> <html lang="en" xmlns:th=" [LINK] "> <head> <link rel="stylesheet" th:href="@{/css/startpage.css}"/> </head> ... <script th:src="@{/js/startpage.js}"></script> </body> </html> I want to improve the app and therefore I'm following this tutorial [LINK] . I've divided my webpack.config file into a dev and prod part. Dev part is u

I have been trying to change the delimiter of HtmlWebpackPlugin ejs since I need to be able to output <%. So things I have tried: Using <%% gives an error of unexpected identifier. It seems that I can't pass the delimiter as options to the default loader so using a custom loader gives the following: "To support the 'esModule' option, the 'variable' option must be passed to avoid 'with' statements" here is my config const path = require("path"); const common = require("./webpack.common"); const merge = require("webpack-merge"); const CleanWebpackPlugin = require("clean-webpack-plugin"); const MiniCssExtractPlugin = require("mini-css-extract-plugin"); const OptimizeCssAssetsPlugin = require("o

I'm currently learning webpack with the following tutorial on YouTube: [this video] , i'm on minute 43. I want that Webpack loads my css, but when I run "node start", and the error "Cannot find module css-loader" occurs, although I have it installed properly. This is my webpack.config.js: const path = require('path'); module.exports = { mode: "development", entry: "./src/index.js", output: { filename: "main.js", path: path.resolve(__dirname, "dist") }, module: { rules: [ { test: /\.css$/, use: ["css-loader"] }, ], } } package.json: { "name": "webpack_tutorial", "version": "1.0.0", "description": "", "main": "index.js", "scripts": { "start": "webpack --config webpack.config.js" }, "keywords": [],

I was trying to pick up webpack from this video from freecodecmap [this video] at the beginning of the video the instructor says that we need webpack to manage dependencies otherwise we need to add <script> tags in particular order for out split JavaScript modules to work. But if we set the the script tag to <script type="module"> , the browser load all the modules that are imported using import {module_name} from "./module_loaction" so i am finding it difficult to understand what is the use of webpack in 2021.
Cites Alim Gölcük · 2023-11 · Stack Overflow · on “Why is "dist/main.js" created only with the codes in my index.js file but not more when I use Webpack?”
He didn't have a webpack.config.js file either and didn't set the "mode" property to "development" in "package.json" so his project was also built with "production" mode. I set the "mode" property to "development" and the main.js file changed right now but not the same way as his main.js. His "main.js" codes are different than mine. As I said he worked in Webpack 4 in that video and I do this in Webpack 5 and maybe something has changed we don't know. Btw the tutorial I mentioned is: " [this video] "

I'm following this [this video] webpack tutorial precisely, and have gotten to the part of the video where he talks about content hashing. On the video he does: const path = require("path"); module.exports = { mode: "development", entry: "./src/index.js", output: { filename: "main.[contentHash].js", path: path.resolve(__dirnamem, "dist") }, module: { rules: [ { test: /\.scss$/, use: [ "style-loader", "css-loader", "sass-loader" ] } ] } }; I have done: const path = require("path"); module.exports = { mode: "development", entry: "./src/index.js", output: { filename: "main.[contentHash].js", path: path.resolve(__dirname, "dist") }, module: { rules: [ { test: /\.scss$/, use: [ "style-loader", // 3.
