Fullstack React GraphQL TypeScript Tutorial
Why Stack Overflow recommends it
Stack Overflow users link it because so many people code along with it and then ask about errors at specific steps, such as MikroORM migrations, Redis sessions and cookies, or Apollo Server setup.

What it is
A roughly 14-hour project course by Ben Awad that builds a Reddit-style fullstack app from scratch and deploys it. It covers React, Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL (TypeGraphQL, URQL/Apollo), Node.js, PostgreSQL with MikroORM/TypeORM, Redis sessions and Chakra UI.

@Young I'm happy you learned something new from the answer. Also, if you want to take your programming to the next level, start off with Typescript -> [LINK] He's a very good teacher. Also, Ben -> [this video] for fullstack development. Wish you the best.

In order to implement this kind of logic, all you need is a mailing service, to send email to client's email address, and in it, you can supply the forgot password page page/Url for client to submit new password. And there's a open source project that can auto send email and serve the purpose: go take a look at Nodemailer doc [LINK] or their github repo [LINK] Youtuber Ben has a section of video specifically solves this problem: Fullstack React GraphQL TypeScript Tutorial [this video]

I'm trying to code along this React GraphQL TypeScript tutorial [this video] The project uses MikroOrm to communicate with a PostgreSQL database. I have PostgreSQL(12.4) installed on my Ubuntu 18.04, created a "postgres" user and I can log in to the user and run psql without any problems. However, when I start using mikro-orm commands like npx mikro-orm migration:create ( video timestamp [this video] ), I get the following error: error: password authentication failed for user "postgres" at Parser.parseErrorMessage (/home/<username>/newstack/node_modules/pg-protocol/src/parser.ts:357:11) at Parser.handlePacket (/home/<username>/newstack/node_modules/pg-protocol/src/parser.ts:186:21) at Parser.parse (/h

I am following Ben Awad's wonderful tutorial [this video] to build a fullstack app using Next.js, Express, Typescript, and GraphQL. Everything works smoothly locally, but I have run into a barrage of issues trying to deploy to Heroku. I would really like to deploy both server and client to Heroku as one app, and have Express serve the frontend files as well as be the backend. monorepo - web - package.json - server - package.json package.json To my understanding, this is possible using Next's custom server option, which I have integrated in my server.js file. My problem is when deploying to Heroku, it doesn't detect React as a dependency for the backend so while the deploy succeeds, the app crashe

I'm having a similar issue as described here [LINK] . Following Ben Awad's YouTube tutorial: see here for where [this video] I am in the tutorial. Goal : Run npx mikro-orm migration:create to create a Mikro ORM migration as shown in the tutorial. What I did so far : I was able to setup Postgres 13 and connect via the psql CLI (SQL Shell) and the pgAdmin tool. But when I run the npx mikro-orm migration:create in my VS Code terminal, I get: error: password authentication failed for user "postgres" at Parser.parseErrorMessage (C:\EJdesktop\Web Dev\playground\reddit-server\node_modules\pg-protocol\src\parser.ts:357:11) at Parser.handlePacket (C:\EJdesktop\Web Dev\playground\reddit-server\node_modules

I faced this issue when upgrading Ben Awad's Graphql-Next-Typeorm[...] stack [this video] , simply adding an await to server start fixed the warnings const apolloServer = new ApolloServer({ introspection: true, schema: await buildSchema({ resolvers: [__dirname + '/resolvers/**/*.js'], validate: false }), context: ({ req, res }) => ({ req, res, redis: redisClient }), formatError }); // added this line await apolloServer.start(); apolloServer.applyMiddleware({ app, cors: false });

I have been following this full-stack tutorial by Ben Awad [this video] and when he added a resolver to the schema, everything went well, but when I tried the exact same code I get the error above. I am using graphql 15.5.1 and type-graphql 1.1.1 with apollo-server-express version 2.25.2. My code looks like this: import {Query, Resolver} from "type-graphql"; @Resolver() export class HelloResolver { @Query(() => Number) hello() { return 5; } } import { ApolloServer } from "apollo-server-express"; import { buildSchema } from "graphql"; import {HelloResolver} from "./resolvers/hello"; const express = require('express'); const PORT : number = Number(process.env.PORT) || 3000; const main = async () =>
