Hey, πάντα ῥεῖ: I found a great tutorial on youtube for setting up GoogleTest with Make using NetBeans. I was really confused about the two projects thing and Bo Qian's tutorial makes it crystal clear. [this video]

Hey, Fraser: Glad you could take a look. This is some really helpful information. Thank you. :-) Yes, it is quite a complicated setup. I found these FANTASTIC tutorials on youtube for setting up GoogleTest with Make using NetBeans. I was really confused about the two projects thing and Bo Qian's tutorial makes it crystal clear. So, until CLion can support Make, I'll be using NetBeans. The tutorial is located here: [this video]

I use MinGW on Windows 7 64bit. I used Google Test with NetBeans (followed Bo Qian instruction: [this video] ) and it worked correctly. Recently I tried to link Google Mock (with Google Test inside) to my project. I used Cmake and this is my CmakeLists.txt file: CMAKE_MINIMUM_REQUIRED(VERSION 2.8) PROJECT(FS_Report) INCLUDE_DIRECTORIES(${PROJECT_SOURCE_DIR}) SET(CMAKE_CXX_FLAGS_DEBUG "-g -Wall -std=c++11") SET(GOOGLE_MOCK gmock-1.6.0) ADD_SUBDIRECTORY(${GOOGLE_MOCK}) INCLUDE_DIRECTORIES(${PROJECT_SOURCE_DIR}/${GOOGLE_MOCK}/include) INCLUDE_DIRECTORIES(${PROJECT_SOURCE_DIR}/${GOOGLE_MOCK}/gtest/include) ADD_SUBDIRECTORY(source) ENABLE_TESTING() FILE(MAKE_DIRECTORY ${PROJECT_BINARY_DIR}/tests) SET(

I am using Google Test [LINK] 1.7.0 in NetBeans IDE [LINK] 7.3.1 on a Microsoft Windows 7 operating system together with Minimalist GNU for Windows [LINK] . To make test cases run from inside the IDE, I followed this YouTube video [this video] . Everything works fine, but running (more exactly building) the tests is horribly slow. To conclude: I've build Google Test and Google Mock as a static library. Both are not rebuilt on running the tests. Both static libraries are linked for the test files only and together with POSIX Threads ( -lpthreads ). The duration to compile and run eight test files is at least one minute for a project in which I am also linking Crypto++ [LINK] . This seems to be the

I am doing tests for my code with GoogleTest (1.7.0). I must have the tests compiling in both NetBeans (8.0.2) and straight from command line. NetBeans has GoogleTest integrated as suggested here: [this video] . I have also build GoogleTest from the command line (in different place) with the instructions provided with the package. The problematic line of code is (a and b are doubles): std::string input = std::to_string(a) + " " + std::to_string(b); which gives error: ‘to_string’ is not a member of ‘std’ , when compiling with g++ -isystem -std=c++0x ~/gtest-1.7.0/include -pthread ~/Task1/test_source.cpp libgtest.a -o test_module1_1 as instructed in GoogleTest documentation. The strange thing here
