What it is

A screen-recorded tutorial by Christophe Hesters showing how to build OpenCV 2.1.0 from source with TBB (threading building blocks) support using CMake and Visual Studio 2010. It then walks through configuring a Visual Studio 2010 project so programs that use OpenCV compile and run.

It's kind of late, but I created a video tutorial [this video] for compiling and configuring OpenCV 2.1 with Visual Studio 2010.

For anyone else interested in a guide how to compile OpenCV with TBB support in Visual Studio 2010, I created a video tutorial for it: [this video] (although this is for Windows 7 32 bit)

You can get sources here: [LINK] and there are a lot of videos about building creating and configuring opencv with CMAKE. For example [this video] It's not hard, and very userful.

I am trying to use Opencv in the environment of Visual Studio 2010. My computer is 64 bit and I use vs 2010 64 bit too. I searched many tutorials on how to configure opencv in vs 2010. However, I could not succeed. There is a video about compile and configure the vs 2010 and opencv [this video] I got couple of errors such as: Error 1 error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'tbb/tbb_stddef.h': No such file or directory C:\SeniorProject\OPENCV2.1\include\opencv\cvinternal.h 131 1 cxcore Error 2 error LNK1104: cannot open file '....\lib\Debug\cxcore210d.lib' C:\SeniorProject\OPENCV2.1\build\tests\cxts\LINK cxts Error 4 error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'tbb/tbb_stddef.h': No such file or directo

I feel your pain. OpenCv is rather difficult to get out of the box. There are a number of different methods you could resort to. 1 . Try using the package manager to search for opencv packages and install them. 2 . Its possible there's a problem related to your package manager/OS. You could try installing opencv through the package manager on a different operating system. You could try creating a virtual box image if this is a convenient way to test this. 3 . Just download OpenCV and just link against it ... who needs a package manager anyway ...
