What it is

A 1m26s demo from the ActiveVision group at Oxford showing the Parallel Tracking and Mapping (PTAM) system adapted to run live on an iPhone 3G. It shows markerless augmented reality with all processing done on the phone.

You can use a simpler algorithm if you would make stricter restrictions on the area you would like to be tracked. As you surely know, ARToolKit is pretty fast, but only tracks black and white markers with a very distinct frame. If you want a (somewhat) general purpose tracker, you may want to check PTAM. The site ( [LINK] ) is currently down, but here's a snazzy video of it working on an iPhone ( [this video] )

I want to implement PTAM(Parallel Tracking and Mapping) system in iPhone. like this: [this video] Does anyone know open-source project of PTAM or a sample code?

I'm developing a simple app that analyses video stream from iOS camera, detects walls or planar surfaces and project an image on it. In my case I can't use markers. What OpenCV algorithm should I use? Or maybe there is another library that would do the job? I find PTAM ( [this video] ) is doing what I need but I can't find a working code yet and all the resources look dead. I spent a month now on it and start hitting a wall, I would be happy if someone just pointed me to the right direction, please!
