What it is
A 31-minute step-by-step walkthrough by Jeff Heaton, a university instructor, for setting up TensorFlow 2.0 with GPU support on Windows 10. It covers identifying the GPU, installing the NVIDIA driver, CUDA and cuDNN, installing MiniConda and Jupyter, and building a Python 3.7 conda environment from a YAML script.

This is a very common issue. I have been there. First: provide the following information: - what operating system? - do you want to run on cpu or gpu? - if gpu, what gpu do you have? - are your drivers up to date? - Are your trying to run tensorflow though an IDE like Pycharm, is it more like Jupyter notebook stuff, or just cmd. Second: There are some link that might be usefull. Here they are. [LINK] [LINK] There is a video that helped me, it might help you as well. With tensorflow it is really important to follow the instructions precisely, not missing any steps, and very important, not assuming that installing something with a higher version is no issue. If it says install 'whatever progra

I'm a beginner of data-science and by now, I'm trying to migrate old code keras cpu modelling to gpu-tensorflow. fyi: I'm following instruction on prof.jeffheaton videos: [this video] | [2020, TensorFlow 2.0 GPU (CUDA), Keras, & Python 3.7 in Windows 10] and install environment as noticed here: [LINK] and from nvidia, i had installed: ms.visual code 2019 cuda_11.5.1_496.13_windows -- include driver.exe cudnn-windows-x86_64-8.3.1.22_cuda11.5-archive.zip and as result on phyton: import tensorflow as tf i got result: 2021-12-04 18:02:41.467262: I tensorflow/stream_executor/platform/default/dso_loader.cc:44] Successfully opened dynamic library cudart64_101.dll and for: tf.config.list_physical_devices

I was able to understand and solve the issue. The problem was not with the tensorflow libraries, but with the CUDA and CUDNN versions. The software requierments for GPU support from the Tensorflow documentation specify the set of drivers you need to install, and the versions dictated are not indicative but mandatory, different combinations of versions from those specified in this document (Software Requirements paragraph) will not work: [LINK] In my case I had to strictly set: CUDA --> v11.2 CUDNN --> v8.1.0 [LINK] after reinstalling the libraries, updating the PATH system variable and restarting the computer, I was able to conclude successfully the training process. Hopefully this will help

I'm currently trying to install tensorflow GPU for windows following this video: [this video] . I am using a nvidia geforce gtx 970 and have installed the game ready driver for it. I have installed CUDA ToolKit 10.0 and cuDNN 7.6.4 for CUDA 10.0. I have added all paths to enviromental variables and when I try to create a new enviroment by running the following yml file i get this error: name tensorflow dependencies - python=3.7 - pip=19.0 - jupyter - tensorflow-gpu=2.1.0 - scikit-learn - scipy - pandas - pandas-datareader - matplotlib - pillow - tqdm - requests - h5py - pyyaml - flask - boto3 - pip - bayesian-optimization - gym - kaggle C:\Users\Thomas\Documents>conda env create -v -f tensorflow-
