You can use Vertex Pain method. Create the material with the color you want, then where you select object/edit mode find vertex paint. Then just pain over the parts of object you want with that color. Or you can select faces and add that color to them. This tutorial describes the technique: [this video] Edit: I am allso new so take it with a grain of sand :)

So found this 'beginner' tutorial on blender 2.8 that makes this nifty low poly scene. 3 minutes in I am like 'um not getting the same thing'. Tried it several times and cannot figure out what I am doing wrong when going into sculpt mode from relative to constant at a resolution of 6. It looks nothing like the video which I follow as far as I can tell to a T... [this video] and my result: [LINK] It is so course and nothing like what he gets about 3.5 minutes in?

I've looked everywhere but nobody has this issue, I'm using blender 2.8 and I'm trying to cut a plane model from a top view, but when I press k, select the edge, and then try to cut the inside, it deselects the edge and ONLY cuts on the inside If you need more details feel free to ask. I'm following this tutorial ( [this video] ) and when he gets to this part of the video (8:10) I have the issue where it deselects the edge right after I start cutting the inside

I have decided to expand my knowledge and start learning Blender. I am following this tutorial [this video] since i want to start with low poly art style. I think am following all the steps but the thing is that when i start sculpting my brush make a mess and I can't find a way to properly set it in order for it to work like in the video. Here is an overview of my settings: Sculpting an Icosphere with size 10 with subdivisions set to 3 Using the Draw brush Dyntopo is ON, detail size: 7, detailing is set to constant detail Using Blender beta 2.80 Here are some screenshots of my results: [LINK] [LINK] I am new to Blender and the community, sorry if I use any term improperly. I am quite new to using Blender, currently using the 2.8 Beta Version, and I decided to make a Low-Poly Island from a tutorial I found on YouTube [this video] In the tutorial, he added a Light and changed it to the "Sun" setting, which I did. He changed the color of the light, made sure the Strength was all the way up (at 10), and turned Contact Shadows on. When he put it into rendering mode, it displayed a beautiful source of light that he was able to move around into the perfect angle, when I put it into rendering mode, and my model was all black, no light to be found. I've tried everything I could, looking up tutorials on how to fix it, playing around with the settings, and after about 2 hours

I know this has probably been asked before, but I'm watching a tutorial [this video] where the guy's sculpting and telling you to disable Symmetry X under the sculpt menu. The video: [LINK] Mine: [LINK]
