What it is

A short screen-recorded tutorial that walks through turning an existing Google Apps Script bound to a Sheet into an unlisted Google add-on. It covers the deployment steps, notes that a listed add-on follows almost the same process, and links a basic image resizer for the required store assets. The presenter is the YouTube channel uneasyguy.

You can do this using Google app script [LINK] and database connector like psycopg2 [LINK] if you're using python or node-postgres [LINK] if you're using node. Run your db connector on some server, front it with a REST API and fetch the data using app script from google sheet. One thing you'd need to figure out is permissions (Google calls them scopes [LINK] ). You can build an addon and publish it internally. Here is a good tutorial [this video] on how to do this. If you don't want to build your own addon, you can use database connectors [LINK] like Castodia , Kpibees and Seekwell from Google marketplace. Most of them support Postgres.

You have couple options: 1. Build your own connector / addon You can build your own connector using Google app script ( [LINK] ). I'd recommend this tutorial for addon development [this video] . To connect to your database, you can either use the JDBC services ( [LINK] ) like @abielita suggested, or use a separate database connectors, like psycopg2 or node-postgres if Apps Script JDBC service does not support your database. Run it on some server, front it with REST API and fetch the data from Google sheet. 2. Use addon There are many addons in the market that are trying to solve this exact problem. You can find them by searching "connect database to google sheets" [LINK] on G Suite Marketplace (

I've tried to deploy a script we made as an addon for google sheets and we decided to make it private so only the members of the organization can find it and use it. I've used this video in order to do so: [this video] The problem is, after finishing all the steps, it still is not up in the G Suite Market Place: The option to add it is grayed out [LINK] Chrome web store shows a message saying I've published 0 out of 20 allowed elements [LINK] However, in the alternative control panel, it shows as published [LINK] And when I try to find it vía Google Sheets -> download addons, and look under my organization option, it says nothing has been published [LINK] I've read somewhere that a developer acco

I want to publish a Google Sheets add-on and distribute it to a trusted list of testers. I do not need to publish to the G-Suite Marketplace for general public use. But I do need to have a link I can share privately with my group. Alternatively, and preferably, I would like to share a spreadsheet (the container to which the add-on script is bound) with the list of users and have that spreadsheet already have the add-on pre-installed. In order to accomplish this, I have followed the example in this video [this video] . I was able to follow the video exactly until I got to 11:42 (where the link is queued). At that point, the video maker clicks the following button Deploy as Sheets add-on... from th
