Blender Tutorial - Cloth Simulation | Advance Simulation | Blender 2.9
Why Blender Stack Exchange recommends it
Blender Stack Exchange answerers point people to it for practical cloth simulation tricks like pin groups and rigging clothes to an armature, and askers cite it as the tutorial they followed when their cloth clips or explodes.
Recommended by 3 people across 5 different months, 2020 to 2023.
What it is
A 24-minute Blender 2.9 tutorial by Aneesh Arts on cloth simulation for character animation. It covers cloth basics, a simple dress simulation, a complex character cloth setup and a bonus tip, with downloadable exercise files.

I'm not a cloth expert but as I told you I think this tutorial [this video] by Aneesh Arts gives a series of good tricks. The first thing I would say is that your gown and pants are rather high-poly and it doesn't help to easily work, you should do a low-poly version and give it a Subdivision Surface modifier. That said I was able to quickly improve your problem with these 2 solutions: First, move a bit the vertices of the bottom of the gown with the Proportional Editing enabled. You can even create a new shapekey so that the topology only moves when necessary: [LINK] Find and display the deforming bones in the armature layers: [LINK] Select the armature, then shift shelect the pants, switch to W

if you want to create tight clothes maybe use this method, which is basically giving a pin group to most of the cloth except where you want it to be flexible: [this video]

A good starting point with B 2.9 can be this tutorial: [this video] but if you are new to the world of 3D, you should take some basic courses before going into animation and simulations.

[LINK] I made a clothes and a pants by sewing, and now I want to do animation, but after adding collision on my pants, my clothes still went through my pants, and it messed up the simulation of my clothes. Both of them have solidify modifier, and the collision modifier of pants is placed between cloth modifier and solidify modifier. I followed this tutorial [this video] , but it didn't work out the same way.

Hello, there are several ways to make clothes, maybe take a look at some tutorials like this one: [LINK] or this one: [this video]

You could mask the part of the body with a Mask modifier for example. Also you could give a shape key to the dress in order to avoid the clipping when it happens. Also a good tuto about cloth: [this video]

From what I see you should apply the scale and rotation of your shirt, remove the Collision, parent it With Automatic Weights to the armature, put the modifiers in this order: Armature/CLoth/Solidify, create a Pin Group, maybe lower the topology... Here is a good tuto on clothes: [this video]

Here [this video] is a good tuto on clothes. I've made all these changes and some other small tweakings and here is what I get, but Blender Cloth is still really tricky to use imho: [LINK] File: [LINK]

It's hard for me to test properly as my computer is rather slow, but I see that you haven't set any pin group for your shirt, you can't count on the physics only, create a pin group, maybe watch this video: [this video]

The coat won't follow the body with the cloth simulation only, it would be too complicated to calculate, you need to parent the coat to the armature With Automatic Weight and put the Armature modifier above the Cloth modifier, also delete the bake (and maybe increase the Simulation End frame if you want the simulation to go beyond 100 frames). You'll still need to tweak some parameters, clean the topology, create a pin group, etc. Here [this video] is a good tutorial about cloth. [LINK]
