Why Blender Stack Exchange recommends it

Blender Stack Exchange users link it whenever a problem looks like a genuine Blender bug and they want to teach the asker how to file a report that developers can act on.

Recommended by 3 people across 3 different months, 2013 to 2022.

What it is

A roughly ten minute official Blender Foundation video walking through a five step process for filing a good bug report: use the latest build, check for duplicates, simplify the file, find reproducible steps, then submit. It is presented by a Blender developer and links to the experimental builds and the bug tracker.

If blender crashes consistently whenever you perform this operation then please report a bug. To report a proper bug that helps developers I suggest you watch this video [this video]

Answering my own question after the issue went away without any intended action. The bug tracking tool at [LINK] is a better source of information for such issues: a search for "blenderkit" reveals that other users had similar issues (not working, not displayed, even crashed), but many of these trouble tickets were then abandoned by the reporter. [LINK] and [this video] are great sources on what to consider while debugging/reporting.

if it is a bug, Pablo explains here how to report: [this video] ... but I'm not sure that it can be considered as a bug, it may be a choice? In that case the Right-Click Select website? [LINK] but I'm afraid no one will notice this request...

All the bug reporting procedure is thoroughly explained on Bug Reports - Blender Developer Documentation [LINK] You can also watch on [this video] For very simple problems or things users are not sure about, before filing a report, users can always visit the #blender-coders channel on chat.blender.org [LINK] to voice their concerns and or request clarification or tips from the developers before posting on the other platforms. To summarize the process: First, make sure it is actually a bug [LINK] For feature requests, feedback, questions or build issues, see communication channels [LINK] . Test with factory settings: Before submitting a bug report, check whether the crash also occurs when running

If you find a reliable way to reproduce the issue on both computers, please write a bug report (*Help > Report a bug* in Blender and watch [this video] ) and include step by step instructions how to create a project where this problem occurs.

Here some steps that you can follow: Set the video format to FFMPEG Go in the Encoding drop-down just below the color settings in the bottom-left corner of the drop-down In the Video drop-down, in the Video Codec settings, choose the H.264 settings ( I think your problem is that there might be a default setting in Blender) Just to be safe Double-Check the Steps. Check if there is any bug [LINK] , or consult a video tutorial on how to report one [this video]

Maybe as an alternative, instead of hiding the object, you can disable it in viewport and then turn it back on when you need it. See if that still causes the bug. [LINK] I also suggest reporting this bug! [this video]
