Here are what seem to be the recommended ways that I've found: Windows: iis-node [LINK] (and this vid [this video] is helpful to get that going). Also note you'll need IIS 8x to support websockets. Linux: PM2 to manage the process, and nginx for proxy server. This article [LINK] has helpful step-by-step for Ubuntu.

I'm trying to run a node server in IIS 10 using iisnode, but it's not working. I followed this guide here exactly: [this video] My main node server file is app.js and it looks like this: const exp = require('express'); const contactRoutes = require('./routes/contact'); const cors = require('cors'); const app = exp(); const port = 3000; //process.env.PORT; const corsOptions = { origin: [' [LINK] ', ' [LINK] ', ' [LINK] '], optionsSuccessStatus: 200 }; app.use(cors(corsOptions)); app.get('/', function (req, res) { res.send('GET: Express is workinging on IISNode.'); }); app.post('/', function (req, res) { res.send('POST: Express is workinging on IISNode.'); }); app.listen(port); module.exports = app

I stopped the World Wide Web Publishing Service and changed the Startup Type to Disabled and ran as administrator to start the website but received the EACCES. Is this a permissions error? I have read that running the website with sudo on linux / unix fixes this, but what about on windows? EDIT: I ended up using iisnode as I could not resolve the EACCES error on port 80. Here are the steps I used to get my node server running on iis through iisnode module: *Install iisnode (wherever you want); *Install 'URL Rewrite' plugin for iss; *Create new site; *Create web.config file with: handler mapping for iisnode on server file with path to server file; rewrite url rule that any request to url goes

I'm trying to deploy an Angular 2 application to Windows Server 2016. I followed along in this video to get the server setup to handle angular applications: [this video] Everything went smoothly. Now I'm trying to deploy our full Angular application and it's not working. I'm told I can take the contents of the dist folder and simply drop it onto the server in the root folder of the website. Here's the dist folder on my development machine: [LINK] I copy and paste this as-is directly into the root folder on the server. The root folder also contains an iisnode folder and node_modules folder. I then create the following web.config file and save it to the root folder on the server: <configuration> <s

I'm following along in this video tutorial in order to learn how to deploy our Angular 2 site to a Windows Server 2016 machine: [this video] Everything the video suggests works. I've got IISNode, Node Express, and the starter Angular 2 application all working. Now I want to deploy my much more complex Angular 2 application. It was originally designed to run on Linux so I'm not sure what to tweak to get it to run on Windows Server 2016. I'm told I can just take the contents of dist and plop into into the website folder on Windows Server 2016. That's what I did. When I browse to it on the server, however, I get this: [LINK] The stack trace tells me it got to server.js, so that's a good sign. Where

I have a node/express API project. I am trying to run this project through Internet Information Service (IIS). With Node v18.17.0 installed on my new Windows 11 computer, which is running IIS v10.0.22621.1, I proceeded to download iisNode (v0.2.26 dated 2/21/2017) and MS urlRewrite. I have been following the instructions from Harvey Williams ( [this video] , also read his blog post [LINK] (although it is a bit dated, 2016).
