The code in the original does not support what I am trying to do in the way that if you stop pressing a movement key it will stop the player. which means what I am trying to do to keep the momentum is impossible with the code provided. Example: float x = Input.GetAxisRaw("Horizontal"); float z = Input.GetAxisRaw("Vertical"); These values would be 0 if you are not pressing anything, so... rb.MovePosition(transform.position + moveBy.normalized * actualSpeed * Time.deltaTime / resistance); Since the moveBy value would be 0 the player would stop because 0 * any number is 0. If you want the movement to be the same as what I was trying to do I would recommend Dani's tutorial: [this video]

Here is a video by Brackeys, on first person movement: [LINK] He also made a video about on third person movement: [LINK] Though his movement system doesn't use physics. If you want a physics based movement system, you can use Dani's Karlson movement script: [LINK] He also made a video on it if your still confused: [this video]

You first have to choose what kind of movement you want to accomplish i.e: 1st person, 3rd person etc . And saying that YouTube tutorials don't work definitely means you are missing something. Here are some good tutorials for different 3d movement. Please follow them thoroughly. 1st Person: [LINK] [this video] 3rd Person: [LINK] You can find a ton more movement systems on Google. Your movement depends on your usage. You have to use a different approach if you want it to be Character Controller based than Rigidbody based. So learn the basics, and then experiment on your own until you are happy with it.

I am currently making an FPS game and I have some problems with camera movement. When I add a child object to the camera, and when I rotate the camera, the child object deforms. I followed this tutorial to get my FPS movement. [this video] [LINK] Here is my camera movement script and my player movement one: using UnityEngine; public class MoveCamera : MonoBehaviour { public Transform player; void Update() { transform.position = player.transform.position; } } // Some stupid rigidbody based movement by Dani using System; using UnityEngine; public class PlayerMovement : MonoBehaviour { //Assingables public Transform playerCam; public Transform orientation; //Other private Rigidbody rb; //Rotation an
