OpenGL 2D Lighting Almost Complete
Why Stack Overflow recommends it
Stack Overflow users link it as a visual example of the 2D dynamic lights and shadows they want to build in OpenGL, iOS or shader projects.

What it is
A 30-second screen capture of an OpenGL 2D dynamic lighting demo. Left click adds an obstacle and right click adds a light, which is drawn as a radial gradient to a texture buffer with shadows rendered on top, and the author links the source code.

Currently I'm working on my game, I'm stuck with lights and shadows. I figured out how to make shadows with only 1 light source, but how to do it if you have more light sources? How to pass OpenGL 8 light sources limit? I'm working with C++, OpenGL and SDL. These [this video] two videos [LINK] show exactly what i want.

I'm looking to implement 2d dynamic lighting in my Cocos2d game project similar to the video link below. [this video] I believe that I need to look into OpenGL, but the only references that I can find are for 3d programming. What should I look into in order to manipulate alpha value over a given radius and theta. Thank you.

I was wondering how I could create 2D lights like here: [this video] And here: [LINK] The shadows aren't currently in my interest. I tried some things but they don't seem to work. So all I currently have is the fragment and the vertex shader with hardly any stuff in it.

I am making a simple pixel top-down game. And I want to add some simple lights there, but I don't know what the best way to do that. This image is an example of light what I want to realise. [LINK] When I googled that task, I saw only solutions for that kind of light. [this video] But I need to increase a brightness of the texture part when the light source is near. How can I do this if I am using textures with GL_QUADS without UV?
