There was a line in The Phantom Menace that was cut out of the original script [LINK] in the scene where Qui-Gon Jinn and Shmi Skywalker are talking about Anakin's father that I personally found interesting: SHMI: There was no father, that I know of... I carried him, I gave birth....I can't explain what happened. This tells us that when Anakin was born, Shmi wasn't in a current relationship. By this statement, it could seem possible that Anakin could have had an actual father (but the line was cut out of the film). However, the canon answer [LINK] to this question is still The Force : Skywalker was born in the year 41 BBY before moving to the Outer Rim planet Tatooine during the Age of the R

As we all know Anakin Skywalker a.k.a Darth Vader was Sith Apprentice under Sith Master Darth Sidious (Palpatine). They operated under the Rule of Two, meaning that Vader would have to kill Palpatine to inherit his title and become new master. Vader of course killed Palpatine, but in the process was mortally wounded himself and died minutes later. Nevertheless, although Vader supposedly rejected the Dark Side and turned back to the Light in the last moments of his life, we never saw him formally abandoning Sith Order or Palpatine's teachings. This is completely opposite to the scene in Revenge of the Sith were he knelt before Palpatine and almost ceremonially pledged himself to said teaching

Yes, he was always "scarred and deformed". Put in quotation marks because he wasn't: That's his true form. Every time we see Sidious in The Phantom Menace , Attack of the Clones and The Clone Wars , he's in his "scarred" form. The reason Ian didn't wear any makeup was because he was old enough and the hood already covered his face enough, plus make-up is very time-consuming (I read somewhere that back in Return of the Jedi , it took 5 hours for Ian to finish the makeup). Not to mention the few times that Sidious appeared outside of holograms in The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones , he was always in very dark places: Sidious' face being "scarred" all along is also why he could play bo
