What it is

A 56-minute Blender tutorial by Andrew Price of Blender Guru that builds a grassy meadow scene using hair particle systems, weight painting, and a volumetric mist cube. It follows along with his paid Grass Essentials pack but walks through the whole scene setup and render.

[LINK] [LINK] I have been following the BlenderGuru tutorial [this video] here on how to create a grassy meadow. Everything so far has worked pretty well okay but suddenly my grass particles have begun to appear horizontally [LINK] . I've looked around a lot and I really haven't found a way to fix this. I'd like my particles to stick vertically out of the ground instead of staying on the side. Here is a link to my .BLEND file, just in case, but I can also provide more screenshots of my settings if you need it. [LINK]

Check this out and see if it's helpful. Make a Grassy Meadow in Blender [this video] . Andrew Price makes a grassy meadow. The link should go directly to the point in the video where he goes through the volumetric mist.

I am going through Andrew Price' grass tuotrial ( [this video] ) and I am stuck with painting weight onto the plane. I've followed his steps inserting the plance and subdividing it into more vertices. However brushing the plane object or using "Weight Gradient" does not make a difference, no colours are changed. The vertex group will be created and whatever vertices I was brushing on will be added to the group, but the weight colouring isn't shown. Am I missing something?

When subdividing a plane I want to have 150 cuts (number of cuts) but the system does not allow me to enter a number larger than 100. Is there a way to change that ? By the way, Blenderguru entered 150 cuts in this tutorial [this video] at about 07:30 min

I am doing this tutorial [this video] of Blender Guru on making grass. Around 20:00 min he shows his render: [LINK] When I look at my render the meadow of Blender Guru is more "bumpy". As far as I know I have the same settings in my blend file (attached). Why is there a difference in "bumpiness" ? [LINK] You can download the Blend file here [LINK] . For some reason (?) the file is close to 150MB and cannot be uploaded to Blend Exchange

I am trying to create a grassy field following a BlenderGuru Tutorial: [this video] . However, when I add the hair emitter onto my field to create the grass, instead of pointing upwards the grass particles point in random directions and I'm not sure why. Here is how it looks: [LINK]

I am relatively new to Blender and am doing Andrew Prices' tutorial on Youtube for " Make a Grassy Meadow [this video] ". I am at minute 44:25 where he flips the mist cube upside down. Unfortunately for me when I flip my cube the gradient remains the same, with the fade ending at the bottom. Does anyone know how to work around/ fix this? [LINK]
