Good Reference Images and Alignment The biggest problem about modeling 3D models from 2D reference images is the alignment of your reference images - especially when you start modeling faces. My advice for a beginner is to start with a "best as possible" aligned reference image. As you can see in the set of images below (from [LINK] ) I used lines to align the prominent facial features, mainly the eyes, the nose and the mouth (The alignment is still not perfect for various reasons regarding the reference images). [LINK] Modeling Process Although some tutorials on the internet mention that it's best to start with a base mesh for the head, I strongly suggest that you start with a simple plane

I am new to blender and I am not clear that is it possible to model a perspective image in orthographic view because I never succeeded whenever I tried but I could see tutorials put up modeling a perspective image in orthographic view. I am not sure whether the image is perspective or orthographic. This is the link to one of the video [this video]

I'm looking to try out edge modeling a human head in a method similar to the one shown in this video [this video] . I plan on using this image here [LINK] , but I can't seem to be able to find a way to set it up like in that video. The method he used to add those reference images is gone in 2.8, and I don't know how to achieve the same effect. What should I do? What's the best way to set up a background/reference image for edge modeling a head? Are there any ways to do it like in that video?
